AXEL THRONE

SONS OF MAYHEM
sergeant at arms
Here they were yet again. Alibek crawling out of her bed, eyes bestowed upon the half naked gentlemen wrapped amidst her sheets. Were they too old for this? Potentially. But, that didn't really mean much for Ali, she wasn't against making reckless yet entertaining decisions. Especially when they looked as he did. Though, the one downside? The killer headache she was sporting, fingers rubbing at her temples, following the pure gasoline she was pretty much downing last night, following a particularly rough few shifts. Hangover very much in full swing. "You alive?" The brunette queried, continuing seconds later. "I don't fancy a trip to the hospital on my day off." She added for that extra Alibek-flare.
Sliding her body up against the bedframe thereafter, getting herself more comfortable, she decided to indulge in conversation regardless of his living-status. "What the hell were we drinking last night?" If she didn't know better, she would've assumed poison, but alas, it would be self inflicted at this point, so she didn't feel as though it would be viable in court.
Axel winced harshly at the sunlight peering through the gap in the curtains, burning a line across his face like a laser and forcing him eyes open. He lifted his head ever so slightly from the pillow, glancing around the room between heavy blinks, trying to piece together where he was until the lull of Ali's voice pulled him to his senses. "Barely." Axel grumbled, dropping the weight of his head back down onto the bed. With his eyes closed again, he decided he needed a cigarette, a coffee, and a shower. He didn't care in which order. He started chuckling deeply at Ali's question, because he knew the shit they were drinking last night tasted bitter but got them very drunk, and very fast. "The less you know, the better." Axel confessed. "You can handle your alcohol better than most grown ass men I know, I'm impressed."

"Uncle Axel!" The seven year old boy of the same name cheered out as he ran towards the man he knew as family. Throwing himself into the blonde's arms and giving her a big hug, "I thought I'd never see you again!" The little boy dramatically declared, as if his trip away from Reno for 2 days was an entirety. Then again, knowing Allie, she probably made it feel that way. Liam scoffed in the back, throwing his hands out, "Wow, I didn't even get this, and I only changed your diapers and cleaned up your messes since you came into this damn world on the Granger kitchen table." He shook his head, more in a playful gesture, then one of real hurt. "Just fuckin' chop liver anytime Big Axel is in the room."
Axel grunted slightly at his mini namesake ran into his arms at almost full force in excitement. He had no idea how he had won the heart of a seven year old, but in truth, Axel didn't mind at all. "Hey my boy, missed ya." he plopped his hand upon the boy's head, ruffling his hair into a tangled mess, causing him to erupt with laughter. "What can I say? Guess your sister knew how fucked we'd all be with two Liam's runnin' around." and for some insane reason, having two Axel's were entirely justifiable. "She's a smart woman." he teased, flashing a wink at Liam.
Gigi set a beer down in front of Axel and sat across from him in the booth, his eyes moving up to the band playing in the makeshift stage of the bar. "Been a while, huh? December always kicks my ass, dude. Can't remember the last time I got a good six hours of sleep." He mumbled, taking a sip from his own beer and leaning back against his seat. "How have you been though? You good?"
The beer had barely touched the table before Axel had took a heavy swig from it, giving Gigi a nod in thanks for the drink. "I was startin' to think you'd fucked off to someplace else and just didn't wanna break it to me." he teased jokingly, although he wouldn't blame the man if he had found somewhere bigger and better than Reno. Axel was chained to the city, he had no escape plan. "Yeah? Those late night booty calls catchin' up with ya?" Axel teased again. "Y'know how it goes," he huffed a long sigh as he sat back in his seat, his other hand mindlessly playing with the label on his beer bottle. "Still alive, still free, ain't got much else to ask for." his time in prison had left him wanting and needing very little.
Dilan looked over at Axel with a raised brow. "You wanna bet?" She challenged in turn, flashing him a look of caution before she rose from the ground and wiped her hands upon her thighs. Her body shifted to peer at him while he rounded the bar and came to take the box from her. The look of smugness never left her expression, because despite knowing she'd get him a drink, she was also going to make sure he worked for it today.
"Cause I told him to come in later." She loved Ramy but her staff had specific skills they were best at and this wasn't his. A hand planted on Axel's broad shoulder, using his sturdiness in order to hoist herself up on the counter so she could reach the top shelf of the bar. "Okay, now stop looking at my ass and pass me those bottles. We don't have all night."
"Boy's got it too easy workin' here." Axel teased, knowing that Ramy worked his ass off both at the bar and as a paramedic, never mind within his role in the MC too. He hauled the case onto the bar top, waiting until Dilan was steady before moving to pass her one bottle at a time. "You forget I was depraved of a woman's ass for 10 years, gimme a break." he grumbled jokingly. And what a long decade it turned out to be. "You anticipatin' a big celebration or somethin' with all this fancy shit?" Axel eyed the bottle of alcohol in his palm, trying to figure out what it was and if it was worth all the money others were willing to spend on it.
Anisa had taken a very behind the scenes role in the club after she found herself helping out Arthur and Gerald Throne on a few get in, get out, do your job and distract, missions. It was her first real look into just how corrupt the world truly was, but she'd be lying if she said it hadn't be her most fun times. And once they realized she was on her way to becoming a surgeon, her services came in as a BOGO. With her medical bag thrown over her shoulder, she entered the club as if she owned it. Something she had to learned to do in most men dominated places, if she planned on surviving them. Finding Axel in the medical room, she shut the door behind her and threw the bag onto the nearest table. "What the fuck did you do this time, Throne?" She asked, truly prepared for anything he could throw at her. Nothing really would surprise her anymore. "You look like shit, by the way." She added in, before pushing a smile at him that to ease some of the tension in the room.
Axel always had a policy of keeping things as in house as possible. The rules were that if Ramy wasn't available, then the next person you call was Anisa, and under no circumstances do you go to the hospital, even if you were close to knocking on death's door. The less people knew about the MC and the fewer questions they asked, they better, as far as Axel was concerned. "Do I hear a note of concern, Nisa?" he teased, trying not to wince as the cut upon his lip cracked slightly. "Tell me somethin' I don't know." Axel grumbled, his hands patting down the pockets on his jeans to look for a cigarette. "Can I have a smoke first before you start patchin' me up, nurse?" he'd already had one while he waited for her to arrive, but Axel always had a need to keep his hands busy.

Compared to New York, Reno bored the living hell out of Dallas. If she wasn't at the firm, she was left to her own devices, namely Tito's on a never-ending pour. It didn't take long for her to learn when she spent half her miserable nights sulking around bars, that knowing (and sometimes even befriending) the other poor bastards who sat at the same stools. That was how she came to know Axel.
Without a word, she tipped the shot glass and let the clear liquid slide down her throat, then motioned to the bartender for second round for the both of them. "I think i'm finally getting the point of a drinking buddy," Dallas announced with a faint smirk, settling onto the empty stool, "And all the lovely fucking perks that come with it."
"I ain't so bad after all, huh?" he teased, shooting Dallas a side glance. Axel accepted the second shot in silence, finding solace in the sweet burn the alcohol left in his throat - a reminder that he was human, and he was alive, for all his sins. "You wanna talk about it, sweetheart? I'm all yours." Axel turned to face Dallas, an innocent smirk tugging upon his cheeks and he all but fluttered his deep blue eyes. "Ain't this what we supposed to do? Drink, talk shit, pretend like this beautiful glass can fix everythin'." his held up his entire shot glass to the light, as if he were inspecting it for its secrets.
It had been a week or two since she set up an 'impromptu' run in with Axel and did her best to approach it like it was a convenient meet up while they were both grocery shopping. She was in town under the guise that her parents needed her instead of the truth, which involved seeking information. She didn't bombard him with questions as she figured chasing him off was too risky this early on. Instead, she did was make up an excuse as a concerned friend to show up at his home with extra food. She cooked the only thing she could without fucking up— and headed to his door with her pot of chili. The toe of her heel hit the door and she waited for him to open it. "I come bearing gifts. Food because I fear that I'm having wild thoughts that you're at home on your own making these wild prison concoctions. I also figured you could use the company."
10 years might have passed but that didn't stop Axel from being cautious of anyone connected to Judge Torres. His release on parole was uncharacteristic of the man, and Axel knew vultures had been circling, just waiting for someone to slip up. Time might have gone by, but Axel's cautiousness had always lingered. But Bec, she was a ghost of his past... The part of his past that he desperately clung onto within himself.
Even now, Axel felt those around him felt as if they were walking upon eggshells. Like he was a ticking timebomb with caution tape tangled all around him. But Bec, she was good. Despite their differences growing up, she had always been good to Axel.
He deeply chuckled to himself as he opened his front door to her explanation for the pot of chilli, shaking his head at her almost accurate imagination. "You just caught me, I was about to make some hooch in my bathtub for old times sake." Axel confessed as he took the pot of chilli from her hands and led her into his kitchen. He placed the pot onto the stove, turning it on so he could heat it up before eating. "You want a drink?" he offered as he reached for his own beer. "I've got beer in the fridge, or somethin' a little stronger?"
It was almost like clockwork at this point. If it wasn't the way the heavy door swung open at her grip, then it was the sound of her heels harshly tapping along the floor, getting louder and louder with each step. Axel didn't turn around, didn't even move a muscle as she felt her presence grow closer, like a dark shadow lingering behind him.
"Already got you one." his fingers picked up the shot of tequila he had bought for Dallas, placing it on the bar next to him where the empty seat was. How quickly she drank it would be an indicator as to how her day had been, Axel had learned.
Dilan's head snapped in the direction of the door when she heard it open and close. The bar would open soon, but it technically wasn't open right now— dilan just sucked at remembering to lock up behind her. "Hey, we're not open right now. But you're fine to come in and sit as long as you make yourself useful. I need help putting these away." A case full of expensive alcohol bottles that she'd been trying to get through as fast as possible. "I might have a few drinks in it for you if you empty the dishwasher too."
She'd throw that in as an added plus in case the person felt generous.
These days, Axel was known for being somewhat of a recluse. The less he was around other people, the less they could talk shit about him. But The Tipsy Tavern had become somewhere he frequented a lot, mostly because he got left alone, and partly because he knew Dilan could handle his bullshit. He said nothing as he heaved a sigh, emptying his pockets of his cigarettes and lighter before pulling himself onto a stool at the bar.
"You're gonna serve me a drink either way." Axel challenged, his fingers toying with his packet of cigarettes before he hauled himself off the stool without another word. He plucked the case of alcohol bottles from Dilan's hands as the clinked together slightly, waiting for her to direct where they go. "Why the fuck ain't Ramy here helpin' you out?"
Time in Reno:Â From birth to 18, he was then imprisoned from 18 to 28
Occupation:Â Sergeant at Arms for Sons of Mayhem
Neighbourhood:Â North Side
Relationship status:Â Single
Face claim:Â Charlie Hunnam
Trigger warnings:Â post partum depression, drug addiction/use, murder, imprisonment, alcoholism
Please read below for his introduction !!
He was born to teen parents, his mother dipped in and out of his life as she struggled with post partum depression and ended up using drugs as a way to cope with it. So he was basically raised by his dad and grandparents (didn't give af about his step mom, sorry).
Became a prospect to the SoM when he was 16 and really relished in becoming a typical Throne troublemaker in town. Bumped into the law a couple times but they were still on good terms with the Sons so he never got into any real trouble. Axel was super cocky and over-confident because he thought he was untouchable LMAO.
Met Melody Davis and unexpectedly fell head over heels, we're talking Romeo & Juliet vibes. But as we all know that came crashing down VERY hard when she was found dead and Axel was the main suspect.
Here we have Axel in prison for 10 years for a crime my boy absolutely did not commit and he got hella angry about it. EVENTUALLY his father and grandfather got their hands dirty and bribed the ruling judge who released Axel on parole. Naturally, the city didn't like the idea of a convicted murderer walking their streets and things turned real sour between Axel/SoM and the law/city.
Axel wanted to flee immediately, he didn't want to walk around Reno with a big warning sign upon his back. He was free, sure, but he knew he was a condemned man either way. But big grand daddy sat him down and had a talk with him, told him that Throne men don't run away and shook some sense into him.
Axel's headspace was hella unstable for some time and the only way he knew how to deal with everything he had been through was to drink a lot, sometimes dabble in things a tad stronger. Sometimes his father and grandfather caught wind of this and slapped some sense into him to get him back onto the straight and narrow but hey... Nobody is perfect, and he's fallen off a few times since.
Since his release, Axel has very much been in the mind set of fuck everything and everyone. The city turned his back on him and that's a betrayal he will never recover from, he will never forgive and he will never forget. If the citizens of Reno want to paint a big warning sign on his back as someone not to mess with, then that's exactly who he will be. You want him to be the bad guy in your story? Done. It's what everyone expects from him so why try to be someone else?
Those who stood by his side through it all are the REAL ONES. Anyone else he doesn't give af about. He will say whatever is on his mind, damn the consequences. He is ride or die for his MC, RIDE OR FREAKIN DIE. The MC was the only stable thing he has had during his entire life, ever since he was a prospect and throughout his imprisonment. The MC is his family through and through.
Now that someone is starting to come out and suggest he wasn't the one to kill Melody, part of him is relieved as hell because maybe someone will start to believe him. But part of him doesn't give a fuck, that part of his life is in the past and the less he thinks about Melody, the better.
WANTED CONNECTION IDEAS!
MC members: Ya'll are the real ones. If you're a member, you are family to Axel, no matter what. He will do anything for these people, the MC is his livelihood, physically and mentally.
Bromance: He will have one or two who are his ride or die best friend bromances. These can be inside or outside of the MC, either works for me!
Frenemies/enemies: There's a lot of potential here with this one, for obvious reasons!! My boy is a walking convicted 'murderer' and there'd be a lot of people in Reno who to this day are convinced Axel did it, or had something to do with the murder of Melody. Aside from being convicted, your character could dislike him because of the MC? Maybe they don't trust the MC, maybe they did something bad to a friend/family member, maybe a friend/family member joined the MC and your character is super against it?
Exes: This is very unlikely tbh. After the loss of Melody, his first love, Axel was HURT. And ever since his release when he was 28, he always thought to himself, how the hell could someone love a convicted 'murderer'? Who would want someone like me? So he's never really put himself out there. If anything, there would have been situationships that started to get too real so he bailed FAST.
Current/ex hook ups: Very likely tbh, he's still a man with needs lbr. But he will absolutely refuse (or dry his damn hardest) to let any emotions or feelings get involved.
