I've decided to restart eternity to characterize Theodore in a more realistic way, so I hope you enjoy!
Tw; mentions of noncon, feet mutilation, pet whump
Amir was stuck. It reminded him of those flies stuck in sticky traps that his master liked to laugh at. But he wasnât in a sticky trap. No, it was much worse.
His master had labeled him a runaway so his feet had been sliced and nerve endings exposed. Now he couldnât move without excruciating pain and had been like this for two weeks.
Now he was stuck in a bed, waiting for his master to return and the punishment to start all over again. But it had been nearly an hour and his master still hadnât returned yet.. It was starting to become concerning.Â
Amir started to listen closely to the sounds outside the room, and he could hear shouting. It sounded like it was slowly getting closer. Amir shook, not knowing what this meant. Was he going back to his cell?
Usually Sneherr wanted to tell him what was happening directly, mostly because he liked to hear amir beg, but now he had disappeared. Did that mean that Amir had been left to the soldiers? God, that would be a terrible fate.Â
The shouting was almost outside the door now. something else was there too, almost like a gentle murmur. It was too hard to tell through the wooden door though.
What amir could tell was that there were three voices. One sharp and shrill, one commanding and loud, and one soft like velvet. They were the ones talking, while the others were shouting and angry. Amir dreaded what they would do with him once they reached the room. It couldnât be any worse than Sneherr. The only thing worse than him would be a new master, learning all the rules would be hell and he didn[ât know if heâd survive it.
The only reason he had made it this far with sneherr had been because of the point system. They needed points for everything, including food, thatâs why he hadnât eaten nearly anything but scraps for the past two weeks. It was excruciating. He was so hungry.
Suddenly the door at the front of the room crashed open. Amir let out a cry, but stayed perfectly still. His master had told him to stay, and he wasnât sure if he was wearing a shock collar or not. He really didnât want to get shocked today.Â
Two incredibly large creatures walked into the room. they had large leathery wings, and were different shades of brown and red. They had pointy ears and hair like humans. Amir started to shake. He looked like a child compared to these things. Was he supposed to satisfy them? It would hurt so badâŚ
One sat on the side of the bed, while the other started to sift through the desk. Amir wanted to say something, wanted to protect his master's things like he was supposed to, but the sharp gaze from the creature to his left stopped him. What did they want with him? Was he finally useless to his master and being sold as a pet? No, that couldnât be right. His master wanted to show him off like a prize. Shenerr told Amir that directly.
Then why was this large creature interested in him? Was it really just curious?
Amir didnât have time to finish that thought before the creature moved. He flinched, and nearly his head on the headboard, but the creature paid him no mind. It was busy gathering up the blanket on the floor. Once it had folded the blanket it looked towards amir with a piercing gaze. It took the blanket and set it across Amir's body, properly covering him for the first time in weeks. His master had said that clothes were for obedient pets, so he wasnât allowed to have any. But clearly this creature didnât care what his master thought.Â
Amir gave a careful smile as a thank you, since he didnât know if it spoke east common, and it grinned and turned to itâs larger companion. Speaking with a melodic language, with a velvet-like voice, the two started gesturing towards amir. He shivered, not wanting to think about what they wanted from him. Hopefully it would be quick.Â
After two long minutes of waiting the larger creature picked up a box of papers and made one final gesture towards amir. The smaller creature turned to him and started to slide its arms under him. No. he was not just going to be taken. He couldnât, it wasnât in his nature.Â
Amir was dragged out of the bed kicking and screaming. The creature wrapped the blanket tight around his arms, then pinned his leg under its arm. It seemed like it was trying to be careful to to touch his feet, which was strange. Once amir was fully pinned down it moved to leave the room. Amir started to cry. He dreaded finding out what this thing wanted outside of this room. He couldnât bear the thought of it.
âShhhhhâŚâ the creature moved Amir to a bridal style position and Amir was too frazzled to fight it. Instead he settled into its chest. His instinct telling him to act as cue as possible. Maybe if he was good the creature would be gentle with him. Maybe itâd leave him alone.Â
The creature made a content noise, then moved to walk further down the hallway, following its other half. Amir shuddered, not sure what was about to happen, but knowing it was about to happen in front of all the guards around him. Now that he thought about it, the guards with wings were smaller than the creature holding him. By a lot.Â
Amir glanced down, and realized that his feet didnât hurt as much as they normally did. At least, he wasnât fighting back tears or screaming like he normally did with sneherr. He wondered what happenedâŚ
He glanced down, and realized that a cut on the side of his foot had healed. Did that mean his whole foot was healed. That would be a miracle. Or maybe⌠No. It couldn't be. Magic didnât exist.Â
He shifted in the creatures arms, wanting a better look at his feet.
âShhhh⌠----- â- â---â it spoke again in the same melodic tone. Amir decided to wait until he was set down to look at his feet. He didnât want to anger the creature further.
He wondered what it was saying. Maybe just maybe, it was trying to comfort him. But most likely it was a threat for amir to stay quiet. Masters didnât like to be disturbed, and this thing was his new master, right? It must be, it had killed sneherr, so amir was its prize. It only made sense.
Soon they were out of the fortress and headed towards what looked like a camp. Hopefully amir would get some sleep before anything happened. He hadn't had sleep in weeks, and he was so so tired.Â
The creature brought him into a tent full of cots. There were other people in here, but none that amir recognized. Most of them appeared to be guards, but only a few looked familiar. But not threatening.
He was set down on a cot, and the creature turned to the nurses who appeared to be nekos. He wondered what happened for them to serve these winged creatures.Â
Nekos were a proud species. Always bragging about how they couldnât be broken, about how they were âindependentâ. It made them a target.
But here they didnât appear to be bedwarmers. Actually, from what Amir could tell he was the only bedwarmer here. Were they assigned to the super wealthy, or were they just in a different spot?
Amir didnât have a chance to ponder the question anymore because the creature was setting him down on a cot. One of his feet brushed against the bed and red-hot pain shot through him. He screamed, and thrashed, trying to get his feet to stop hurting. Suddenly, amir couldnât move. He was on his stomach, and the creature was putting a blanket on top of him. His feet weren't being touched, and he was ok. It was just for a second.
For the first time since his master left him, Amir spoke. âSorry sir, I didn't mean to panic. The creature smiled, and patted his head before speaking in that same sing-song language. Amirs head spun. How was he supposed to communicate with this master if they couldnât even speak the same language? He was used to being a bedwarmer in the east, where they all spoke eastern common, what was he going to do?
âHey little one, whatâs wrong?â one of the guards had walked over, and was attempting to talk to amir. Amir recognized them, they were the only reason Amir got water for these past two weeks.
âNothing, I'm fine.â no matter how nice this guard was, he was not to be trusted.Â
âYou don't look fine. Do you know whatâs going on?â Amir shook his head no.
âWell this is the sand devil prince. He is heir to the most important throne in the west. He has taken a liking to you, and sped up the process of getting you medical help by days.â
Days? Did that mean without him Amir wouldâve been left to rot? Also, what did a powerful figure want with him? Entertainment? Then the prince spoke to the guard for a few seconds, and the guard turned back to amir.
âThe prince wants me to tell you not to worry, that heâll get a translator and start teaching you his language so that you both can communicate.âÂ
âCan you.. Can you tell him thank you?â the guard relayed the message, smiled at Theodore, and then left.
let me know if i need to add any more trigger warnings, and i hope you enjoy!
