So.. what was the mission about? Anything special?
Yodo: oh come on guys, we’re way too far now, it’s not going to work!
Araya: a-and what i-i-if does hm?!
Shinki: yeah, what if that has some sort of signal linked to some other labs? We could be in trouble!
Yodo: oh shhh guys! Don’t think about it too much! [she presses the buttons around the device] see? Nothing is activated! And i bet this obvious red button that will open a secret passage wont do anything either
Araya: sis don’t play with that!
Yodo: [she didn’t listened, and she pressed the button, and behind her, a couple of feets away, a sound of a metal door was being opened, she remained still for a moment, and then turns around]
[there was a couple of white lights that were surrounding an area that was hidden in bushes, but the lights went beyond the barrier of bushes, and there was a secret entrance underground]
Shinki: me neither, ladies first
Yodo: oh i bet its nothing too important, fine, I’ll go and prove that you both are little cowards!
[Shinki and Araya giggled while Yodo lets out a small laughter, and then she got into the bushes, there was thankfully a ladder to go down there]
Shinki: Yodo, if you need anything yell, okay?
[she smiles and starts to hum one of her favorite songs as she starts to carefully go down the ladder, the place underground began to get more fresher but darker, although there we’re dim lights covering the area as she went lower and lower, finally, her foot touched ground]
Yodo: oooh, i wonder where this goes..!
[she began to walk carefully into the place, so far nothing interesting, but his ear and senses tilted at some sudden chit chattering coming from one of the ventilation system of there]
[Yodo’s mind went to a sudden halt as she saw the awful scenery presented to her through the ventilation, she cleaned her tears as she ran so fast to the ladder, starting to sob while she went up again so far that from time to time, her feet slided, once she finishd going up, she began to yell]
Yodo: G-G-GUYS PLEASE!! [she yells as her voice quivers and cracks]
[Shinki and Araya heard her, And they walked towards her, Araya however, was a bit gotten by that and reacts slower than Shinki, but Shinki went closer to Yodo]
Shinki: What’s wrong sister!?
Yodo: t-t-there i-ih-is-is..!
Yodo: Scientist..d-d-doing awful things t-t-o *sob* t-to a poor boy d-down there..! [she takes a harsh breath and continues to sob]
Shinki: [he widened his eyes and instantly turns to Araya] Araya come on!!
[Shinki and Araya went forward, not using the ladder to go down, they jumped an landed on the Ground, Araya got his spear ready, they both wen to the end of the passage, finding a door that says “employees only” They both busted that door, and surprisingly, the place was empty, there was no one, and then they went to another door that is on their left side, where they did heard the scientist suddenly yell and evacuate, knowing that they got found, but it was too late for them, Shinki managed to bust that other door down with his iron fists, and he signals Araya to secure another possible exit for them, Araya noded, and he went after the running scientists that weren’t so many, Shinki dropped his iron sand, and he went to check the locked Chamber in where the boy was being held hostage, his eyes widened when he saw that brown and white hair again]
Shinki: (n-not.. you again…)
[Spectra was totally unresponsive, his body, his face, his legs, everything of his, even his hair was s damaged and dirty, his cheeks and part of his arms were slashed by a bisturi that was clearly laying lifeless and next to him on the floor, the floor was also stained with dry blood and black stains that really smelled like ink, and there were water stains too]
Spectra Shinki: [no response, only weak breaths through his nose]
Shinki: …he’s really damaged…[Shinki sighed while he layed on the floor Spectra’s head, his chest was visibly struggling to breath air]
Araya: hey Shinki, im back! Where are youuuu?!
Shinki: in here, on the metal chamber!
[Steps were heard behind Shinki’s ears, and then they stopped, Araya looked at Shinki while he kneels down to his level, then he noticed the face of the boy that Yodo said and he was suddenly freaking out] A TWIN!?!? SINCE WHEN YOU HAVE A TWIN BROTHER SHINKI!?!
Shinki: n-no no..! He’s not a brother of mine..! I don’t know why he looks like me, really…I’m surprised as well
Araya: HOW!? OH MY GOD I CANT BELIEVE THIS!
Shinki: yeah, yeah..! Brother just stop, lets not make a big deal out of this, at least not now, really…
Araya: aaagh, fine then, what do we do with him? We can’t just leave him
Shinki: did you managed the scientists?
Araya: yup! I tangled them on chakra strings so, they cant escape until the authorities arrive to get them, I’ll send a letter tomorrow
Shinki: good..[he looks at Spectra again, and sighs] he’s coming with us
Araya: are you Sure Shinki?
[Shinki made a gentle “mhm” sound as he stood up and carried Spectra on his Arms carefully, being really careful too with his fragile body, he made a gentle grunt too wen he took the extra weight in his arms]
Shinki: let’s go back home, we’re not so far anyways
[they began to walk away from that place, Shinki used his iron sand to levitate Araya and himself back to the surface, where Yodo was patiently but traumatizedly waiting still for them, after they all reunited, Yodo pretty much reacted the same way after watching Spectra’s face, and Shinki Gave her the same answer he gave to Araya, and then, they resumed walking to Sunagakure]
Shinki: Yodo, you should really take the rest of the weekend off, i bet your mind is still touched by what you saw…its not easy To digest such cruelty
Yodo: m-mhm..yes..it was awful
Shinki: and araya, you should rest too, you wasted the little bit of chakra you still had by capturing those scientist, I’ll stay here and check him out
Araya: okay, bro, do you want another blanket or..?
Shinki: nah, it’s not cold anyways
Yodo: okay, night guys.. [She walks a bit timedly to her room, she was trying her best not to think about the awful images she saw minutes ago]
Araya: Night you both [he walked to his room and locks himself in, instantly throwing himself on the bed and cuddling with his panda plushie]
[Shinki’s eyes went wide and his cheeks kinda flushed up at the sight of their hands like this, he lands his look on Spectra, he was so still, and still breathing weakly, Shinki felt how Spectra’s fingers stopped shaking at the contact, but he shook his hand away and sighs, standing up and taking the other edge of the sofa where Spectra was, he lays there, and yawns, leaning his head to one of the pillows of the sofa and starting to fall asleep there]
