Why Ragapom? Genuine question because I didn't really have a ship coming out of the show.
Iâll be so for real with you Iâve been watching the show since the pilot and I didnât really have any feelings about them for the majority of the showâs runtime.
Little tells like Ragathaâs line in episode 4 about Pomni âflirtingâ made me go hmm. Well sheâs a lesbian. But I didnât really care about it in the moment because, youâre right, the show doesnât really give you much unless you squint. Ragatha clearly cares about Pomni, and that tug of war she and Jax have over her is the result of Ragatha being afraid that Jax is gonna end up causing her to abstract. It isnât because sheâs âin loveâ with Pomni.
But then⌠they have a hug and staring contest in the finale that starts at the 10:51 mark and ends at 12:20. Thatâs a minute and a half of screen time with a sweeping camera, pink lighting, and prolonged eye contact. The moment was unearned (in my opinion) but it was also very gay and THAT made my little lesbian heart go âYAAYâ soâŚ
TL;DR:
All of that to say, itâs a combination of two things for meâ the disturbingly long (I literally was sitting in the theater thinking âthey need to cut this shot for time I get itâ LMAO) moment between them in the finale, and the fact that I needed a distraction in my life the moment the finale came out soooo I guess I just projected onto these fictional characters and now I canât stop?? LOL
TOTALLY understand why you would feel that way though!!! I think when youâre gay you tend to cling onto whatever scraps you can getâŚ
Nevermind, I actually see the vision now. also wanted to add that I did enjoy the fic itself, was just curious about it.
