Half-Effort Smut for HP

First off: don’t expect me to publish all that often. It’ll be every few months at best. Sorry if that disappoints you, but my life is pretty busy and writing smut is just something I do for fun when the mood strikes me.

Second, you and I may disagree about what makes smut good. I’ve had people tell me about what I write that they can’t enjoy it because the characters are often OOC or the setup for the smut is contrived. Leaving aside the fact these same people have said that they don’t mind so long as characters they like come off better (making me not take the criticism seriously), I think these people miss the point of smut. Even non-smut fanfiction often does this, and truthfully what would the point of fanfiction be if we kept everyone completely in-canon-character in circumstances no different from canon? This is even more pointless in smut. Smut, the way I see it, is something you read to get off to. If there’s a piece of smut that is hot I don’t really see the point of dropping it because “it would never happen in canon.” Obviously it wouldn’t, but that’s not the point. If you’re one of those people, save both you and me the trouble of trying to argue about it.

Next, building off that last one, yes, I do actually take constructive criticism. If you think there’s a way for me to improve my smut dialogue or the way I write the sex or whatever then by all means let me know. So long as it’s advice about how to make the smut hotter I’m all ears.

I should also say that I don’t hate Harry. Currently 75% of my published smut has Harry getting cucked, but that’s not because I hate him or want to bash him. I just like writing smut about Ginny and I also like writing cuckold smut and since Ginny is canonically married to Harry… (If you want to talk contrived for smut, contrived would be me always making Ginny married to someone else just so that when she’s cucking her husband it’s not Harry).

Second-to-last, what I won’t do: I’m not writing M/M smut. Not happening, so don’t argue. That includes anything that also has a girl in it. I’m not writing MMF just because it’s “not technically M/M.” To the extent I write anything like that, it’ll be MFM with the girl being with two guys. I’m also probably not writing anal. Sorry, I’m just not into it. Don’t count on me writing any sissification/feminization either; I know that’s common for cuckold stuff, but it’s not happening here. If I think of anything else, I’ll put it in follow-up announcements, but I don’t think I’ll run into anything.
