"I see. I imagined you would have more waste, you have too many things going on that didn't exist before," he says as he takes a sip from his drink. It's sweet and he quite likes it too despite thinking he wouldn't. "But I didn't think it would be much of a problem as you have just implied," he says frowning a bit before going back to eating.
"Second-hand items, I see. It does seem convenient as long as the items are in good condition, which I imagine they would be if they are being sold." He says finishing his food and focusing on his drink.
"When do you want to go...thrifting then? I am actually free today and my next free day is in 3 days," he says looking up at the kid. He was looking forward to this activity, to shopping.
"Yeah it gets to be a terrible problem in this world. Waste. So many things were made to simply be disposable it would bury us all if we didn't do things to try and stop it from happening." Avery did his best to live a life that would take care of nature. His own wardrobe was mostly thrifted and led efforts in the community to push for recycling. "We can make sure that we are getting you really quality pieces. I have a good eye, and I am sure you do as well. I am really into having a capsule wardrobe myself. Just enough for a week. Keeps things clean and tidy."
"Um I get off in a like 20 minutes when the mid morning crew comes in, I have most afternoons off." Avery said with a little smile as he sent the doctor another selfie of himself because he could. "And if we don't find anything then we can hang out 3 days from now."
