Yes, we do tend to love any kind of throwback, don't we? Plus, fashion and trends are cyclical, so of course Tumblr was going to rise again. I had a blog, but I didn't use mine in the cool way that most people did like reblogging Halsey's poems. I was uploading my own posts instead of reblogging, mostly about my outfit of the day or the latest Project Runway episode. They would only ever get 2 or 3 notes, but I suppose they have served future-me well.

That was the stuff for my absolutely top secret blog. I was not prepared to open myself to ridicule in high school so any sketches or paintings or designs were uploaded to that account rather than the one people who knew me in real life knew about. I could just about deal with the criticism of strangers never mind that from people I'd need to see face to face. A fellow Project Runway fan! Be still my heart! I completely agree with you -- that said, I wouldn't be surprised if it really is making a comeback. I always think millennials will support anything that appeals to their sense of nostalgia and using this site again definitely invokes nostalgia. I still vividly remember Halsey's old poetry posts and the numerous conversations I had with friends in the tags of posts rather than the post itself.

Upsides to having gotten close to my boss at work: I got a lap dance on my birthday. She’s a great conversationalist with various hobbies and is great to watch dance. She’s witchy af and invited me out to hers for holidays. Also, her wife is fabulous.

This heat wave is wild. This is a Texas style April. I’m used to it but this stuffy New York apartment and customers today continuing to order hot lattes, were not. Wild times. How is everyone hold up?

Tell me about it -- the A/C broke in the office last week and so the whole week became a write-off. We managed to make it through Monday and Tuesday but I sent everyone home early. I'm not a fan of hot coffee in any weather but I have heard you're supposed to drink hot drinks when it's warm. Apparently it brings you body closer to the temperature outside so you don't feel as warm. I have no evidence to support that. It could absolutely be an old wives tale.
