I used to really like basketball sneakers. When I was younger, it was always a basketball pair for the next cop. Like, retro fashion. It's turned into *whatever this even is.*

whatever happens with this endeavor, somehow (someway) it is linked to this game.

we watched a moment on television that could be the happiest moment of their family's lives, of his life. what a privilege to see such a feat from day one 'til now.

this often-orange ball going through the often-orange circle becomes more than routine for players of this game. one ball that propelled this man to further immortality, can be (AND IS) the same ball that was used to resurrect a broken man at his lowest point.

every step, every bounce. every swish.

this game is universal; unadulterated, unlimited, and unphased by the outside. it is unbothered by goings-on before arrival and after departure.

i will always thank God for the ability to play.
