I think Gil will turn into a monster of failure after he pacts.

It’s obvious now what he wants, what he would wish for, and the thing is, that won’t happen. The Odin we saw in Gil’s dream was perfect, covered in his own symbols, and notably, did not have a stutter for the only time he ‘spoke’ in the video, saying 'thank you for saving me.’ I think those words reference the original The Little Mermaid, where she saves the prince from drowning (which is… interesting, now that I think about it, with Odin’s connection to drowning/his fear of water), as well as the fact that Gil 'saved’ Odin after he crash-landed on his planet.

Anyway, back to the main point. In The Little Mermaid, when she gets rejected by the prince and sees him fall in love with someone else, she turns into seafoam. We’ve already seen this happen with Nevy, after she regained her memories. Since Gil’s sin is envy, and hes already fallen in love with a prince (who probably wont return his feelings), we can assume that something like this will happen to Gil.

This, paired with his hatred for and fear of being a failure, I think that he’s going to be the failed pact we see.

So as we know for certain, Odin Arrow has dealt with the following misery:

-has lost his baby sister, strongly suggested to be his favorite sibling

-his planet has no sun and is a dying wasteland

-he has lived as much of his life as we know of (at least since his parents’ death) with the ever-present chance that his older brother could just kick him out of his home and leave him homeless

-his parents are both dead. 

-his demon, however many times, has fucked with him by showing him perfect illusions of his dead mother, calling out for him from beyond the grave

-it can also be assumed that he feels responsible in some way for his mother’s death

-his one and only tool for finding Vessels was broken by a small, angry girl

-He has injuries on his waist and head, which he got who-knows-how

-His older brother nor his younger sisters respect him even a little bit. He’s at the absolute bottom of the food chain in his household

Right now, Odin has no way (that he knows of, since he likely doesn’t really get what’s going on with the Limbo Lens in his eye), of finding more vessels and completing the mission started by himself and his baby sister. His one and only quest, his most desperate attempt to make anything right, and he’s lost his only tool. Currently, all he can do is follow Ava and Maggie around and hope he can get them to help him, but if he was ever separated from them, he’s truly fucked. 

My point is, I know Odin’s sin is Pride, but holy fuck that boy deserves a good cry how the flying fuck is he taking this all in stride??
