I shot this image because I liked the color gradient in the sky and how big the moon was. I was also having a lengthy conversation with a stranger at the very moment about life, what the future holds, and what our region is going through in terms of politics. It’s a conversation I wouldn’t if had if I hadn't gotten into “birding” for our last shooting assignment. I enjoyed the moment and am glad I have an image to remember it. The image has a sense of balance, the horizon is at the center of the image and there are two important subjects in the photo at which are the log in the water and moon in the sky that keeps your eyes moving throughout the image.
