Hi again!

I’m currently building out my YouTube channel and Patreon podcast, and I’m looking for two creative collaborators to join me on this journey.

These roles are completely unrelated, for separate projects, and do not need to be filled by the same person.

✦ 1. Video / Audio Editor (YouTube + Patreon Podcast)

I’m looking for a creative and motivated editor to collaborate with me on my YouTube channel and Patreon podcast.

What you’ll be working on: • Editing YouTube videos (cuts, pacing, transitions, basic color correction, audio balancing) • Editing podcast episodes (clean-up, flow, and audio enhancement) • Adding graphics, captions, and light effects to improve engagement • Collaborating on creative direction and storytelling • Meeting agreed-upon deadlines for releases

What I’m looking for: • Experience with editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, Audition, etc.) • Strong sense of pacing and storytelling • Attention to detail • Ability to take feedback and make revisions • Interest in YouTube content and digital media

Workflow notes: • Interviews will be conducted over Zoom • File sharing and project management will be handled through Google Drive (for now)

Compensation: This is currently an unpaid, experience-focused collaboration with potential for future paid opportunities as the channel grows.

✦ 2. Beta Reader (Fanfiction + Books)

I’m also looking for a beta reader for my writing projects (fanfiction and original books). This is a long-term reading feedback role.

What you’ll be doing: • Reading completed drafts of my fanfiction and books • Providing feedback on pacing, clarity, tone, character development, and story flow • Pointing out confusing sections, inconsistencies, or areas that could be improved • Sharing general reader impressions as well as constructive critique

What I’m looking for: • Strong reading comprehension and attention to detail • Interest in fiction, storytelling, and character-driven narratives • Honest but constructive feedback • Ability to communicate thoughts clearly

Important notes: • This role is unpaid and will remain unpaid • This is a reading/feedback role only (not an editing job or publishing collaboration) • Communication will be handled through Tumblr and email only • This is a completely separate project from the video/audio editing work

When I was a kid, my street used to have a big annual festival. I remember walking through it with my family and ending up at a vendor table where I picked out a copy of “Daddy’s Little Girl” by Mary Higgins Clark. I was probably around 8. I stood there for a long time trying to decide, and a kind stranger ended up buying it for me. I don’t think I realized at the time how much I’d remember that moment.

Lately I’ve been to events like the Main Street Arts Festival and ArtsGoggle, and I realized I don’t really see book tables anymore.

It’s mostly food, art, crafts (things I genuinely love) but there’s something about stumbling across books in that kind of space that feels like it’s disappeared a bit.

Maybe I’m just nostalgic, but I think I’d still stop at a pop-up book table if I saw one.
