The world is in a state of decay. It has been one year since the Zora Virus, a disease classified as a rapidly misfolding and self-replicating prion, had ravaged the world's population, turning friends and loved ones alike into nothing more than monsters, with a craving for living flesh. As the current world’s technology had no means of finding a way to eradicate or cure other existing prion diseases, World governments quickly fell apart as they failed to contain the rapid spread of the prion, leaving the populace to fend for themselves. The last words spoken to the world before all communications had gone dark, had advised them this...
“...The world we once knew is gone. We are all we have left, and now… We are alone...”
Despite these destitute last words, the world has kept spinning. Life persists, even in the darkest of nights. Will you choose to persist in a world full of death? Or will you choose the inevitable, and decay with the rest of the world?
