there's always the classic qud insert picture of its fairy tale self from my first playthrough as it, when it had a dozen slog clones. pictured behind: what would become the brambled pass

it's actually the fursona i used for lucid dreaming half the time and used as a coq playthrough that's part of the joke most of its art isn't actually coq related

there's also the classic where i was taking the piss out of tumblr's "female presenting nipples" thing by dressing it like a boy and then like a girl and nothing about the creature itself had changed but by virtue of the context of its clothing the one on the left is perfectly acceptable and the one on the right is theoretically illegal for tumblr, which is still really funny to me

the rest of the menagerie i don't have pictures for because they're all basically coq sprites that got proselytized/water ritualed/forcerecruited in-game and are specific to proselytize and i already did like 230k words on that story i just couldn't manage to do even more work drawing stuff from it in the end

it has been almost a full year since i read Proselytize.

and yet not even half an hour ago your goddamn ɮʀǟʍɮʟɛɖ ʄǟɛ somehow got off it's leash and bit me with a fanart idea that i almost certainly dont have the skill to pull off drawing properly.

so i'm sending you the idea as it is right now so that even if i never end up making it you'll have my brain blast in your inbox, and i can only hope that you can envision the idea as vividly as i see it

THE BRAMBLED FAE

the drawing is broken into chunks, one for each of it's pieces

each piece's background is a scene from their original tale

and they all come together to form a BOOK like stained glass

specifically only have the book be shaped by the edges of the scenes, no hard lineart,

the largest pieces are the main one, followed by the breathbeard and the unimax as somewhat smaller, yet still major pieces of the shape

all the characters are either looking inward at the edges or touching the edges of their piece, to feel out the edges of themselves-as-greater-narritive

the primary character of the fae is blank, still, lifeless like a puppet (incorperate their puppet strings into the overall-book shape?)

the more meta one (i cant recall the name) is looking out at the viewer smugly, though they still are doing their part to feel out the edges

(maybe have text be overlayed over the overall book shape, one of their more melodramatic quotes?)

(maybe have the phrase broken into words, and each character says one part of the whole??)
