Poe's inspiration started many and many a year ago when I was learning English (I was maybe 9 years old) and I came across this very popular poem. I found myself rereading it at home trying to understand what those words meant. I came back to that same book and that same poem many years after. It was haunting, and mesmerizing for me, who barely understood the beauty and darkness behind it. To this day, I admire Poe's poems and short stories, they still influence me in many ways.
