The World Inside My Head

Today, more so than any other day, I am seeing a trend between my Facebook friends to post either religious or anti-religious updates. I've concluded that while all of the Christian updates spread love and positivity regardless of what you believe in, the anti-religious and atheist updates seem to have a trend of expressing hate and negativity. Most non-Christians seem to think that all Christians are hypocrites and believe that they are some of the most cruel and corrupt people in our society (which I definitely agree with). Most Christians seem to think that all atheists are the most evil people on Earth and will surely be punished for their lack of faith. I believe that if you are a "good" Christian that you would love everyone, including those who hate your beliefs. I also believe that if you are a "good" atheist that you would love everyone as well, even if they are corrupt and never practice what they preach. Can you see the common word? "Good". I think being a "good" person is all that should matter. Love is good. We can all share what we believe in and we can all benefit from that. Imagine thousands of years ago when people first heard about religious happenings and said, "Yeah! Can you believe it?". People chose whether or not to believe the news they heard based on what seemed logical to them. Some wanted to believe, some didn't. Some tried convincing others that what they thought was "right" --And some people held on to their faith "knowing" that they were "right" and that's all that mattered, they didn't need to try and convince anyone. I encourage you to dig. I encourage you to find your own purpose. I encourage you to help others find their own purpose, especially when they ask for help. Just remember not to help if they don't want it, it's a matter of respect. We do not need to hate those whose purpose is not the same as our own. It takes all kinds to make a world. Forgive me, I am a sheep in wolf's clothing.
