final boss

• music

in my head i decided to make three types of music:

1) very simple and homophonic. it can be like background music that you can hear in public places or listening when your head is too full of thoughts and you want to relax. bc their language is already highly polyphonic and complex i think it'll be like raining sounds for them or smth. white pretty noise.

2) very, VERY polyphonic. like our ears can usually follow only one voice (maybe two if you're trained) voice, their, ig, can hear 5-6. and music i think can contain 10 or more just for the sake of complexity. i think if you can hear 5 main melodys, others can hold harmony and add 💫vibe💫. their language Is very musical, but i dont thing that it'll stop them of doing something incredible and even more musical. it can also contain sounds that they can't reproduce bc ofc they can't be able to speak in all hertzes that they can hear. no creature will need this during their evolution

3) percussionic (Is this even a word?). and hear me out... eridians are echolocating to see, right? so i see this type as syncretic art, where some kind of drums are producing very heavy or very light and crystal sound that can help eridians to see smth like bas-relief. ofc eridians can see it without drums, but it just makes it... idk, kinda more colourful? and would allow them to see great distances. so, bas-relief can be made from different materials and different textures, to be diverse, and different kind of drums can reveal them from different sides. heavy and low-frequency sound can be used to see the whole landscape, and high-pitched are for small details. in my head it makes sense

and it leads us to

• bas-reliefs

i think of it as an eridians equivalent of painting. bas-reliefs can go without music. i separate them to two groups: abstract and not. ofc we have this in our art too, but i feel like in eridian's culture abstract art will have more importance then ours.

non-abstract is like bas-reliefs that tell history, they're about characters or historical figuers, maybe even landscapes, but not so often.

abstracts, on the other hand, can be very structured or pure chaos. when i think of structured abstract bas-reliefs, i think about fractals and i think it'll be kinda mixed with sience. not so much, just a little bit. like if you want to doing this, you should remember formulas, but if you want to be famous, you should invent one. chaotics ones are a little bit arguable in their society? i think. bc they're such a science-oriented civilization (ig?????) i think some eridians can be kinda pissed and will try to found the pattern in these bas-reliefs, while the others would try to creat the most chaotic and impossible to guess structures.

all of them, ofc, are made of different materials, textures and so on. and i think tere will be some kind of elite bas-reliefs? that you can see only if you know right pitch to vibrate in or right way to echolocate or smth. very niche😔✌️

• sculptures

sculptures, i think, can be very complex. in my head they have many layes that connected to each other in meaningful way but also trying to say they're own thoughts. and it can be interior figure too - like ours little statuette. also in my head these very 3d effect can create interesting and musical resonance while you're screaming in it lol. there will be many little or not so holes in it for this porpuse. and ofc sculptures can be concrete, like person or animal, and can be abstract

• dance

dance i see also very much connected to sound. and for me tap dance is a very eridian dance. ykwim? they can dance on different materials or with a very unique rhythm that create beautiful pattern. but I don't think that dance is as popular with them as it is with us. oh, it can be ours "guitar in the campfire" type of thing, like, something nonchalant.
