Rhys studied the young woman a moment, softening his expression with a slight smile.  “Nice to meet you Rory.  Are you new here?”

           “It’s nice to meet you as well, sir. May I know your name? Uh, no. I’m not new, not really. Not at all.”

“It’s really good,” he smiled.  “Not accurate with the mythology, but it’s Disney, so we can let it slide.”  He smiled, wishing a little bit that he could be let out for a movie night.  It didn’t seem very likely.  And he was starving.  “Thanks.  And New York, but a part of the city that was sanctioned off for humans.  I lived in Manhattan for a little bit, but I don’t remember the part of the city I was in the past few years, honestly.  The Bronx, maybe?”

           “I’m sure it is. Probably all Disney movies are good, right?” Considering she had little to no knowledge, she assumed. But when she found something she liked, it was hard to lose her favor. “New York! That sounds so fun. I’ve always wanted to go to New York. Is it just like on tv?” She was definitely curious by his wording, his confusion. But she didn’t want to push, unsure if he wanted to discuss it.

“I already purchased him,” The Warden was ADAMANT to convince Nik he needed to pool more money into the prison. But after his HEFTY purchase of a Nephilim, he wanted to keep his funds rather stagnant and untouched, aside from any needs that Zephyr might present. Of course, he’d want something in RETURN for such generosities, but the offer would be on the table considering he finally had exactly what he wanted. “I do have the room, but I don’t want a second…,” in truth, he was BURNING time to avoid a massive collaboration with other demons. The longer he was absent, the more it was DELAYED - exactly what he wanted. The Elder drew himself against one of the cells, his head shaking in exasperation, “THIS is all you have to offer me after the Nephilim?”

           Aurora stood up when she heard someone approaching.  After news had spread of his recent purchase, she wasn’t surprised to see the Elder being shown around more. She’d been in the prison for a while━  if by a while, she meant most of her life. She didn’t really assume it would lead anywhere, but at least it would get her out of the cell for a bit. So Rory quickly patted her hair into the most attractive semblance she could, tried to straighten the sweatpants. She could at least be presentable.

           It was immediately clear that the demon wasn’t interested. She tried not to take it personally. “I can clean for you. Or cook dinner? Whatever you’d like. I’m useful, and I promise I won’t bother you, sir.” She didn’t like to beg, unless it was explicitly ordered, but...  She just wanted a chance. “Please?”

“Yeah, Beauty and the Beast is great,” he said, nodding.  “I remember really liking Hercules when I was little, but it’s not one of the more popular ones so it gets forgotten a lot.”  Thomas smiled at her.  “My mom named me too.  I don’t know why she picked Thomas, but I like my name.  And I think it’s pretty.”  He nodded.  “Yeah, been here a whopping two days.”  He sighed.

          “I thought so. Hercules? I don’t think I’ve seen Hercules. But sometimes the masters and mistresses are nice, and they’ll let you watch a movie. I’ll ask if I can see that sometime.” Rory stretched her shoulders, arms above her head. She hadn’t talked to anyone new in a while. Not that she would complain, but eventually, one did run out of things to talk about. “Thomas. That’s a very nice name. Where are you from?”

“You.”  Rhys had stopped in front of a random cell, deciding to be spontaneous today and pick someone random to talk to.  “What’s your name?”

           “Me?” At the question aimed at her, Rory sat upright and put on a smile. “It’s Rory, sir.”

He smiled.  He liked this one already, he was glad someone was somewhat positive around here.  “I know some,” he said.  “It’s been awhile, though.  I’m bound to slip up on a few lyrics.”  Movies were only when he was really good to Mast- Marco, he thought.  He had to stop calling that man his master.

          “That’s okay, I don’t know them all that well either. I’ve only seen The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast...” Rory tilted her head as she smiled across the corridor, then perked up. “And Sleeping Beauty, obviously. My mama named me Aurora after Sleeping Beauty. It was her favorite.  But I just go by Rory, because Aurora is kind of a mouthful.” Realizing she was rambling a bit, Rory bit her lip. “You’re kinda new here, right?”

Thomas leaned against his bars, bored as all hell.  Though that was probably the point.  At least the uniforms or whatever were nice.  He could live in sweatpants and be a happy camper.  “Anyone got one of those mugs to clink against the bars?” he called out, lazily.  “Or a harmonica, so I can sing the blues?  Da NAH nah na- here, come on, sing it with me, what’s got you down?” he said to the nearest passerby.  

          “No mug, no harmonica, but I can harmonize pretty well.” Rory leaned against the bars as well, tried to match his humming. “Dah nananah━ No, wait, I don’t know this song. I really don’t. Do you know any Disney songs?”

“You could probably convince a siren. Although, sirens can convince you of a whole lot of other things, so it’s probably best not to go out searching for it.”

         “Well, I wouldn’t necessarily mind. Depending on what they wanted. Don’t you want to go? Come on, we can talk someone into it!”
