Did not expect this drama to get into the nature of fans' view of celebrity, and how it's a construct only occasionally intersecting with actual reality; where the person is not truly real but a vessel for their hopes and theories and needs - sort of a poseable doll (I happen to TRULY hate the concept of being fans of celebs btw - I mean loving someone's performance/art/writing/whatever is great but when people feel they "know" those doing the performing/art/writing/etc, it always freaks me out. Being into someone's skills is great, being into someone's person, unless it's someone you personally know, is not. They are people with flaws and issues and no matter how much you feel you know them, you don't, and also it's awfully dehumanizing as a concept to take a living being as your entertainment. Why yes, I also loathe reality tv and influencers. Thank you for coming to my TED talk, there is more where that came from.)
She says that but does she really? She only wants the real him if that real him is a certain way (for now).
Yup, she remembers his manic self in the station and tries to convince herself that wasn't the real him.
