Can't we just ignore this name day? Being a grandmother of three is enough reminder of my aging.

Well that is very kind of Lord Stark. I could never have the courage to bring in someone I did not know to be a squire. And I’m doing fairly well, I suppose. It’s been hard adjusting to the changes around the Vale, but I think I’m doing well with my husband… indisposed.

We are used to many people visiting Winterfell. Our guard are good at figuring out who is going to be trouble. It's the windlings we have problems with. The Vale has always been a busy place. They are so very lucky to have you. How is Lord Arryn? I know Lord Stark keeps in touch but I have not heard much news.

Oh, well, I suppose that is very kind of your lord to take on one of his wards’ sons, but I’m sure he would be distressed to know that his wife is unhappy.

We do try to take in as many as we can. It makes Lord Stark happy to have them and he teaches them well. I think he would tell me to be patient. It isn't a trait I'm known for I'm afraid. And how are you Lady Arryn?

Perhaps it is time for a new squire then, my lady?

Oh Lady Arryn, I have tried. My husband chooses them I'm afraid. It is one of our wards sons.
