I hate ranting to the void like this but I genuinely feel disheartened that I post my art here and then the first interactions are usually weirdo bots and people asking for money when I don't know and don't want to do background checks and even then their profile is filled with upsetting things that do nothing but spike my anxiety. Oh and I did mention I normally don't have money that I can just throw around the moment someone asks???? I miss the internet when bots weren't this prevalent and annoying. I miss when people begging for things wasn't the norm. I hate that I got to experience the internet in a way I'm never going to see again. Just gritting my teeth and pretending it's fine. Maybe I try something to counteract this behavior. I think I should try sending more positive messages to people... I'm sure there's people out there who'd LOVE a nice comment on their artwork but feel annoyed or even awful just having bots being weird in their comments. Be the change you want to see, I guess.
