Okay, so Shadow Milk hates ALL the food gifts, with the sole exception of Panna Cotta. Never had a Panna Cotta before, wonder what it's made of?

You're telling me the ONLY THING this overdramatic clown is willing to eat

shadow milk is high empathy, low sympathy - constantly, deeply understanding and relating, exhausted by this and unable to handle his own emotions.

pure vanilla is low empathy, high sympathy - desperately wishing to understand but never quite getting there without some sort of personal stake.

Alright. Time to rant about shadow milk.

His motivations were always kind of unclear to me at first. I mean understood the whole point of, lies are often sweeter than truth. But like. Its slowly coming to surface why exactly he has fone what he has.

To put it simply: He wants attention. Maybe even answers.

Any kind of attention. Bad, good whatever. As the Fount, I highly doubt any cookie ever came to him simply for him. It was always just for his souljam, his knowledge.

And then the questions started. Why did the witches bake us? Why do the witches never answer our calls? Do they even care about us?

The fount knew the answer. Obviously. It seems to be my interpretation that the cookie with asking almost represents Shadow Milks own thoughts. Of course the Fount wants to say what he wants to be true. That cookies were made to live and bring sweetness.

He knows its a lie. He knows the real reason.

And hes torn. Between wanting to tell the truth and spread his knowledge, or lie and keep the cookies blissfully ignorant.

... and so of course if he tells the truth...

Cookies freak out. And I think this is his own thoughts of the witches. Of cookie life. Hes questioning his purpose here. Questioning why cookies are made only to suffer. Why he was made to answer questions, when telling the truth also only brings suffering.

So what better way then to go against their will? Spread lies, deciet, regect knowledge. Plunge their carfully crafted world into chaos. So he did. He wanted to decide his own fate. Wanted to prove he was more than a pawn in the witches arms. He even went as far as wars, killing.

It reinforced his beilief. After all, the witches didnt stop him. Didn't care.

But... at the same time. Does it mean they truely arent there? That their creators truly have abandoned them, or truly dont care?

What do they want with cookies? Do they care about the pain their causing? Do they even see it?

So he keeps going. Keeps causing mayhem. Chaos. In hopes the witches will show, will answer to the burning questions he has. And evetually they do (...or so he thinks.) Him and the other corrupt virtues get trapped in the Silver Tree. There might be some important dialouge in episode 2 but I am not going that far back right now.

However, finally they get out. And yet the witches still aren't there. They intervened yes, but why? And why haven't they now when the beasts have escaped?

Hes still asking. Now more than before. Why step in then? And why not now? Is it because their powers are halved? I believe this is most likely why he joined Dark Entrances. He wanted the other half of his soul jam. So he could finally get to the witches.

And... also these. Practically just proving that his main goal is to been seen by the witches.

NOW. After the big reveal...

Shadow Milk is... confused. Angry. Which is probably why he didn't have time to process the sword going through his gut but.

And... then his entire internal dialouge.

He doesnt understand. He doesnt understand how his gods have sat back and done nothing as their most powerful creations fall to ruin and evil.

Hes still asking. He still hasnt gotten his answer. Why? Why were they made if nothing truly matters to them? Why was the world made if they don't care what is happening in it?
