I haven't wanted to draw fanart in a while but playing The Mermaid Mask with friends did something to me!!

And yet apparently Mortuga did think of you as a friend. You were his friend. Maybe he didn’t make it obvious enough that he thought of you so, but he certainly cared about you. He lived right across from you. He spoke with you several times. He lovingly made a model of your shop.

Over and over again, the others tell you how much Mortuga cared about keeping you safe…

But he left you behind. He wouldn’t do that if you were truly friends, would he? He wouldn’t have left you there to drown if he truly cared so much for you…?
