also I’m still on my odyssey hater train. Okay so lupita nyong’o plays helen which is one of the singulars Ws of this movie (aside from their near criminal inability to colour grade her). But why does she also play clytemnestra??? They are not twins ?

This is made even more confusing because in the movie menelaus says verbatim “the face that launched a thousand ships” and then turns Helen’s face towards them and we see that he’s scarred one side. Then he says “well, maybe five hundred now”

Okay but Clytemnestra has an identical unmarred face! What???

#I straight up think this is just a bad movie aside from the score #I enjoyed the visuals of the underworld visit and ‘’athena’’ was inspired but it literally feels like #if you have three hours to throw darts one of them will stick

well to sum up my odyssey viewing experience 5 minutes in tom holland said in a quaking American accent “I need to go find my dad” and then I realized this wasn’t for me. Ideally that would have happened with fewer than 2 hours and 50 minutes to go but oh well
