Just remembered I had this screenshot on my phone somewhere and had to post it here because it really speaks to me
about to be interviewed for a fat studies research project i'm so nervous eeee wish me luck
IT WENT REALLY WELL! we talked about the rising use of glp-1s and how that's impacting social attitudes towards fatness, as well as how the fat liberation community is responding and accounting for it within our activism. I will share the study when it comes out!
your watermelon?
i don’t think so
you ever just look over and see the animal?

if youre in the US (especially the northeast + michigan) i would avoid bagged salads/greens and generally wash your produce very thoroughly unless you want the diarrhea parasite
Michigan is experiencing its largest outbreak of a parasitic infection that causes severe diarrhea. Nearly 1,000 people have been diagnosed
this is not life-threatening, but also who wants weeks of diarrhea and a fucking parasite in them lol. if you suspect you've already had this and it's passed, i would see a doctor. you might need an antiparasitic anyway. if you're actively sick, see a doctor and they might be able to prescribe medication to help you get over it faster.
try to avoid eating raw vegetables, scrub fruit with a produce brush and rinse thoroughly with water. again, don't bother with premade greens or bagged salads. if you buy lettuce, remove the outer 2-3 layers of leaves.
there are UNVERIFIED rumors that the greens have been linked to a company that sources to taco bell. some locations have been actively pulling fresh ingredients like lettuce, avocado, and pico de gallo to mitigate the threat, so i would avoid any products from them just in case. considering how vast supply chains are, i'd be wary of any fast food greens in general for now.
SWORDTEMBER DAY 10: RADIATION
Brightcore, of unstable heart and growing heat ☢️🌐 This is a wild, untamed magic, one we thought we could control. This magic is a danger, a danger still present, a danger to the body, that can kill. We thought ourselves a powerful culture, one that could harness the great whim of nature, craft her beauty into a weapon. This weapon is not a thing of honour, it is dangerous and repulsive to us. We forged this blade from forces greater than ourselves, with the intent to hurt. This weapon will bring about no esteemed deed. This weapon is best shunned, and forgotten, and we beg you heed our warning.
I wouldn’t touch this thing if I were you

Years ago back when I worked in cubicle land, we were hiring junior software developers. They didn’t have to have a ton of experience, just a willingness to learn, and some demonstration of their software skills. Like: show me a program you wrote (any language) or a web site you designed. Anything.
And there was this one guy I talked with who seemed super sharp, but had virtually zero experience writing software. When it came time to do the show-n-tell part of the interview he whips out his laptop, brings up a website, and spins it around to show me what he made.
A website of tiny ceramic frogs.
Not for sale. Just… all these ceramic frogs, organized into categories. Frogs on bicycles, frogs with hats, frogs sitting on lily pads. It was a virtual museum of ceramic frogs in web form.
I scrolled through his online collection of frogs, slightly baffled.
“This is your website?” I asked finally.
“Yep!”
“You coded this yourself?” I popped into view-source mode and poked around some incredibly well-formatted, well-commented html. I nodded slowly. This guy was meticulous.
“Yep!”
“So… where’d all the frogs come from?”
“I made those too,” he says, beaming.
And while I’m processing this he rummages in his bag and pulls out a little ceramic frog working at a computer terminal. He places it on the table before us, next to the laptop.
“And THIS one,” he says, “I made for you! As a thank you for the interview.”
It was adorable. I hired him on the spot. I mean, why not? Worst case he’d wash out in 90 days and we’d hire somebody else. He turned out to be one of the best developers on our team.
And yes, his cubicle was loaded with ceramic frogs.
There's a post sitting in my flagged posts that's been there for three plus years. It's a pair of onions in a bag that looks suspiciously like a pair of fat tits. Apparently it's flagged for everyone and God i wish i could show y'all
Lord if this works

Weighing foster kittens..they understood the assignment..🐈🐾😍
“And yet, strangely, Americans are probably reading more words than ever before. What has changed is what they read, and how. People are bombarded with emails, text messages, X posts, Reddit threads, Instagram captions. This explosion of textual fragments has come at the expense of devoting sustained attention to longer written works that convey rich and complicated information. Maryanne Wolf, a cognitive neuroscientist at UCLA, argues that people are losing the ability to think deeply about writing. That doesn’t mean they are forgetting how to decode individual words. Rather, they are losing the higher-order abilities of comprehension and synthesis. America, in other words, isn’t illiterate. It’s postliterate.”

You can tell Toby Fox is from New England because there are a million quaint little small towns around here that look exactly like Hometown. Come on down to South Westchesterfordshireham, Massachusetts (pronounced "WEST-er-for-sure-um"), where the biggest three buildings are the town hall, the vaguely Protestant church, and the police station where they enforce with Puritan fervor the 35mph speed limit. I bet there's a Dunkin' Donuts just beyond the police tape
