I understand totally. I don’t really daydream as myself (or a parame) often, either, and I know a few other people in the community who daydream with their OCs or book/movie/etc characters rather than as themselves.

If your daydreaming is vivid but not necessarily harmful, though, I think the word you’re looking for is neuronarrating. (I’ve seen people use NN for short) It’s a term for vivid daydreaming with a lot of traits associated with MADD (pacing, etc.), except it doesn’t necessarily interfere with everyday life on a major scale like maladaptive daydreaming would. So all maladaptive daydreamers are technically NN, but not all NNs have MADD, if that make sense?

1.) Describe your current paracosm/daydream.

It’s set in Canada from the start of the second millennium to the current age, focusing on history as told by semi-immortal personifications called avatars (it’s kind of weird and complicated)

5.) What genre would you classify your daydream/paracosm as?

Political dramedy, historical fiction and fantasy realism.

8.) List your five favorite moments that have happened in your daydream.

Oh jeez uhh there’s a lot, in no particular order:

Sam getting shot in the chest mid-monologue by his royally pissed-off, estranged “little brother” Leslie.

Nathaniel, Connie and Beverly trying to convince Jean to join the revolutionary effort. Jean, mind, has a very scant grasp of English at this point and barely understands half of what the f**k they’re saying. Everything goes downhill and it escalates into a brawl.

Colin (unsuccessfully) trying to run away on a horse and start his own province because of bullcrap.

Catherine and Jean fighting over “”custody”” of Pascal because avatars don’t know how to share and Pasc is just So Tired™

Pretty much every scene focusing on the characters’ childhoods, just living their day-to-day lives before shit hits the fan for the hundredth time.
