 SOME  NOTES  ABOUT  MY  PORTRAYAL  *
 *  canon  divergence,  important  changes,  etc.
 001.  kory  has  full  grasp  of  the  english  language.  while  indeed,  in  the  beginning,  certain  idioms  and  colloquialisms  escaped  her,  and  she  had  the  tendency  to  take  everything  literally,  after  years  of  living  on  earth,  amongst  english-speaking  people,  she  has  a  better  understanding  of  it  now.
 002.  that  being  said,  it  is  human  behaviour  which  confuses  her  at  times.  (  ‘taboo’  topics  such  as  sexuality  and  the  concept  of  ‘purity’  for  example.  )  kory’s  story  is  that  of  an  immigrant,  fighting  to  have  a  place  in  a  world  that  is  ---  though  not  entirely  ---  dissimilar  and  strange  to  her.  she  finds  no  reason  to  adapt  behaviour  she  deems  unfit  or  toxic.
 003.  any  and  all  post  reboot  media  will  be  ignored.  kory  and  dick  (  @noxheres  )  are  happily  dating  or  married  depending  on  the  timeline.
 004.  mar’i  g.rayson  is  very  much  part  of  the  canon  of  this  blog,  as  is  their  son,  whom  chloe  and  i  renamed  ryand’r  ‘ryan’  john  g.rayson,  after  kory’s  brother  and  dick’s  father.
 005.  kory  might  be  sweet  and  gentle  with  the  people  she  loves,  but  she  was  born  in  a  world  of  warriors,  and  has  been  through  immeasurable  trauma.  that  has  shaped  her  to  be  ruthless  and  dangerous  when  she  deems  it  necessary,  and  she  will  not  hesitate  to  rain  fire  to  save  those  she  cares  for.
 006.  language  assimilation  happens  through  skin  to  skin  touch,  not  mouth  to  mouth.  additionally,  her  starbolts  are  an  ability  she  developed  after  traumatic  experiments  done  to  her,  rather  than  something  she  could  do  from  birth
