Closing Arguments
The Magpie, with earnest eyes, delivers his plea to the Court of Complacency:
"A soul was swooped up in December's talons; A recruit for the As The Crow Flies Alliance
A seasoned avian hunter had soared far from his shores; His plumage a deep lustre, To lure the the Magpie out of his doors
A forager, Whose sojourn swiftly turned into a tenure, Playing caretaker to the Curator.
A clowder of corpses litter your private quarters; A blatant display of your intent to sate your appetite For an austere corpus.
Adorned as he was in that December landing, The Magpie simply couldn't resist, With promises of twice bliss.
Unbeknownst was he that he would soon be A subject to dismember, For the purpose of deciphering.
An infectious aesthetic of the macabre, The Crow was keen for the role of Reverse Engineer. How serendipitous that, despite his affiliation with the superstitious, The Magpie voluntarily voiced his interest in the autopsy.
And thus, he was ushered to the coast, Which, lo and behold, hosts the abode of the Crow. The Curator was complicit in this crime, home-flown.
And so, I plea to a syndrome, Homegrown in Stockholm."
Any further attempts to dissuade the Magpie from his stance Was swiftly dismissed by a waive of the Fifth.
