do you ever dream of dreams?

As a former-hitman-turned-hero, he’s no stranger to being exposed to such dangerous missions. He knew what he was signing up for, taking on life-endangering tasks from clients and soon his boss at A.S.H, but he always gives you a heart attack whenever he stops by your place practically on the verge of death. Tonight is one of those nights, except he wasn’t nearly dying, just pretty wounded.

Sure he whines and moans every time you patch him up, but who's going to help him get back up to shape if no one's there? You know he has his healing-capable teammates with him, Claude and Vezalius, though you'd never met them before. He's only mentioned them in passing, but you wonder how they deal with him constantly trying to die (unintentionally) on every mission. It's a miracle they haven't left him out to bleed though.

“There.” You tape the end of the wrapping, tucking the adhesive tape inside one of the folds.

With your duty practically done, you start to put away all of your supplies ranging from the gauze to the alcohol to even stitches. Honestly, at this point you’re practically like his personal nurse with how many times he’s showed up at your door like this. You had to pick up new skills on the go since the first night he suddenly appeared at your balcony, bleeding out in the rain. Like any sane person would, you panicked for like a good solid 10 seconds—until he finally yelled at you to call for an ambulance.

As you click the white box shut, Wilson rolls his arm gently enough to not tear your stitching. He winces but only for a brief moment. He looks at you, standing up to carry the box back to the cabinet below the sink. "Your stitching's gotten better," Wilson remarks. "Same with your wraps."

You slide the kit back into its rightful place on the shelf, in clear sight when you open the cabinet. "Thanks, you make a good practice dummy."

"Hey!"

You laugh this time. "I'm not wrong! You're the only one who comes to my place often on the brink of death."

He stutters a bit and lowers his head, an embarrassed flush tinting his cheeks as he fails to come up with any rebuttal. Rather than trying to come up with a witty remark as he always do, he grumbles to himself as he pulls on the top half of his wetsuit.

"Willy," you sing-song as you look over your shoulder, shutting the cabinet.

He looks up, a faint blush on his cheeks, to you.

"You owe me."

A choke. He rubs the back of his neck, averting his gaze again. "Yeah, yeah, I know. I still owe you for the last three times."

You quietly stare at him, watching him run through his thoughts as he mumbles to himself. He's always done this, you've noticed during your times together when he crashed at your place, literally. It's a cute habit, honestly, seeing him talk to himself a lot to organize his thoughts. Sometimes, you'd overhear him if you're close enough to hear his thought process, usually about work or his plans for the week.

He's probably thinking of what to do, you thought. No doubt he is. He over-complicates things when he gets deep into the rabbit hole of his planning. So you clear your throat.

"Wilson," you speak up, pulling his attention from his head to you. "If you can't think of anything, how about you treat me to something, hm? After all this time of playing nurse, we never got to hang out like normal people."

Again, he chokes on his breath. "Shit, fuck, yeah—wait—oh god, you're right! Do I even have your number?"

"I don't think so?" You look over to your phone resting on the counter, next to the sink.

You reach over for it, taking a quick peek at your contacts for a certain "Wilson" in the list. And, lo and behold, there's a gap of "Wilson" in there. You even decided to go through your text messages, looking for an unknown number but again, not a single mention of Wilson in there.

"I don't have yours either," you say, scrolling through your phone for another look-over for his contact. It takes another fifteen or so seconds until you decide to hold it over to him. "Here, put your number in there. I can text you later tonight so you can keep it."

He scoffs. “You know I could just—“

“Just take the damn phone already.”

“Fine!” He snatches your phone, his thumbs dancing across the keyboard before giving it back to you. “Happy?”

“Very,” you hum. As you check your phone reading his name and his number, you send a quick text to him to ensure he keeps your number in his wherever it is.

With your phone in hand, you make your way towards the door and swing it open. You call out to him as you step into the dark hallway, “See you in a day or two!”

“Wh—I didn’t even—“

“We know you’re gonna come back here sooner than later.”

Wilson groans in frustration. “God—yeah, whatever. See you soon… I guess.”

Your voice echoes down the hall from the direction to the living room, laughing at his reluctant response to your teasing. He stares down the hall, waiting for a moment until you’re not within an earshot of distance. He takes out his phone, silenced this entire time to focus on work and on you, to look through his messages.

A smile unconsciously grows on his face, staring at your simple text message saying ‘hi’ to him.

i was actually unsure what i'd do with this blog since i'm not as active as i was anymore, i'd like to keep writing but in my spare time. and i Still love writing, but it felt, yk, Awkward? continuing to write under my previous username when i'm using it for more content creation stuff?

so i decided to rebrand the blog (and my alias! you can call me aster now c:) to give that degree of separation yk?

idk what i'll write next tbh... i'm working on another big project that i don't wanna accidentally spoil it in a drabble or smth here lol, but it is fsp en related. oh yeah, i got into fsp en LMAO i like caelen, he's up there as my kami with shu (and now elira?? that happened lmao)

i also started fujoing tf out more SDFHFDKSLGHGSD but i want this blog to mostly be reader-centric, so if you wanna see my writing for yaoi or yuri, i'll be posting that exclusively on my twitter and ao3!

again, idk what i'll write next now that i'm. Unofficially returning? i guess soft returning LMAO

but i'll definitely try to post drabbles here and there, i think i've been holding them in the back burner for a long long time now
