I realise I create so much, but I never share it. But then I’m annoyed when I have no one to talk with about my creations. I guess today I’ll be brave and share my Lolirock oc, for people who have good taste in animated shows who never got the season 3 they deserve. I wrote two episodes for Lunelle : her introduction, and the mandatory evil self episode. I guess for other episodes non lunelle centered she’s just kind of there…helping the girls and taking care of Amaru. I am French by the way, watched the show in its original language, enjoy reading and feel free to tell me if I got anything non accurate to the show!

Lolirock oc: The Butterfly’s Secret

Lunelle from Celenyx is the fourth princess, an oc to the Lolirock show. We meet her because the girls go trough a prestigious ballet academy, looking for new choreography inspirations to freshen up their concerts. They meet with the ballet instructor and ask for a teacher, and the teacher tells them that they’re a little too busy to take on new students, but their students often are talented enough to teach newbies! She shows them a few but Auriana is more drawn to a short black haired girl performing on her own. The teacher says that’s impossible, she’s far too shy for ever instructing others. Iris feels she has a problem with her necklace but can’t tell why, Auriana harasses (in a kind way) a little this new shy girl to praise her, but she shy’s away from her. Iris can tell that problem has to be from her but everything looks perfect with this girl, she’s a ballerina and she performs perfectly on stage although she’s a little shy and Amaru seems to like her a lot but she cowers in fear, nothing looks wrong, but the audience, us, knows something is. They spend some time together talking and looking at her dance, but Lunelle keeps avoiding them throughout the day, refusing to have eye contact, chat, or share any foods, she even gets scared when Amaru tries to cuddle with her. Auriana thinks that maybe Iris thought wrong but Talia says the necklace is never wrong, that they have to look deeper than into the surface of things. But then their investigating is cut closed as praxina and mephisto attack the ballet institution with a new monster to go against the princesses, Lunelle immediately running away in fear and crying on her own, saying to herself on how this should not have happened again. The princesses are having a hard time trying to keep this a secret, evacuate people and fight this rough monster properly who seems to be too fast for them, reading their slow movements, but just as they were getting exhausted, Amaru comes to Lunelle, sniffing her and trying to pull at her sleeve to help, she knows his name and is a little shocked to see him there, realising he must be with the princesses, she tells him to leave her alone, that the princesses will handle this better than she ever could, taking off her butterfly choker, but he steals it away from her and she chases after him, only to find the princesses in a hard spot against the monster. As it was about to throw a powerful crystal attack they couldn’t pary, we suddenly see Lunelle put back on her choker and get to hear a "Lunelle, princess of Celenyx" and we get a cool transformation of a butterfly themed dark blues and lilac ombres to a new princess, who fights the monster effortlessly by how precise she is, clearly using ballet techniques.

Amaru opens the crystal arenas, twins shocked. She kicks Mephisto and Praxina’s monster off and the three girls get to do their spell to expel them off, victory at last. Now before leaving the arena all the princesses are shocked that they found a fourth princess, Talia lore dumping that she thought all of Celenyx had been mercilessly taken over by Gramorr, and that no princess survived either. Lunelle has to shamelessly reveal that she was the last princess, being the 9th sister in line in a very peaceful kingdom connected to nature and dance, she never learned much fighting or magic compared to her elders, and when Gramorr attacked, she got scared, knowing she’d be useless and that her sisters could very well handle it : she fled like a coward, taking amaru with her, a beast from their kingdom. She flew away from her kingdom and told Amaru to part ways with her despite their great friendship, she wasnt worthy of his aid, he should go help the princess of Ephedia, she’s the one who will defeat Gramorr, not someone like her. After all those years she stayed hidden on earth, running away from her past trough dance, learning those perfect choreographies to bring some stability and preciseness into her troubled mind, but she can’t ignore it anymore.

She feels awful and cries but the princesses hug her and cheer her up, Talia saying how she wasn’t there when her kingdom was attacked, she came back too late and there wasn’t anything she could have done to save it, she feels guilty too, and Iris was still an infant when the war broke out, clearly powerless as well. Maybe we could even get more Auriana secret lore about her side of the war. Talia tells Lunelle that she shouldn’t be made to feel a coward, her act of cowardice allowed her kingdom’s legacy to live on, Celenyx still lives, even with it’s last princess.

Talia:
“What you did wasn’t cowardice. It was survival. And thanks to you, Celenyx still has a voice. Its last princess lives, and she’s standing with us.”

Lunelle breaks down and cries and the episode ends with them all being friends, Iris gets an idea to ask Lunelle to perform with them tonight, they need a new dance teacher for their choreo. Lunelle putting on a great show being invited to perform with Lolirock, it’s still very pop girl style but there’s some ballet movements, and Lunelle gets a cute dark blue outfit. She still has some shy deamenour but now smiles and is way more relaxed.

“That ballerina brat ruined everything!”

Mephisto: (trying a pirouette)
“I dunno, she had flair. We should get a choreographer.”

Meanwhile Gramorr tweaks out in ephedia as a new sapphire is collected but also, there’s a new princess in sight, one that he hasn’t destroyed.

Post episode notes:

She’ll probably stick with the main cast, being the ‘shy kind’ girl of the group where Auriana resolves problems with fun, Talia with serious regidity, she takes as more gentle, in depth approach, just like they did with her, the whole moral of not judging a book by its cover, being way more open into conversation about feelings and inner healing, which still gives her the same ‘not from earth quirks’ as talia and Auriana had at first while adapting to earth. And now Amaru has a closer friend to be with since he was originally her pet. So she’d have some greater involvement in emotional conflicts and problems related to Amaru, while still struggling and changing trough the episodes to try to become braver. She’s already strong enough, having ballet trained for years, but her main problem is lack of self confidence, which the twins could take advantage of and make fun of her at first when she’s not in her element of ballet. Talia is too rigid, Auriana looses too much focus and can get wild, Iris is not maigically trained enough yet and is closely tied to her human ways, Lunelle being strong was not a problem but more that she’s still scared from being considered a coward, but since she escapes those problems trough performance and dance, they’d be less impactful as she grows into herself.

Second episode: Dark comb (Evil Lunelle)

Lunelle is doing great but still struggles with her shyness and her lack of bravery. Her nightmares of her leaving her home and feeling the guilt of leaving her kingdom, her mother’s words trough her pleading to not abandon her, Gramorr’s evil laugh, she wakes up scared and tears in her eyes.

Shes well liked as the new member of Lolirock and gets some fresh attention but it’s still hard for her to handle. She hides behind the girls during autograph sessions, she quiets down everytime she meets a hysterical fan who wants to learn everything about her, the three girls basically have to shield her and take her around to find some moment of peace, Nathaniel’s nice enough to learn her favorite blueberry smoothie order but she can hardly say thank you which embarrasses the girls but she can hardly keep up eye contact, feeling bad. But Mephisto and Praxina take advantage of it, seeing the shy girl trough their lair and thinking of a plan to get the newbie out of their way before she gets too comfortable, the twins getting absolutely screamed at by Gramorr that this new princess cannot get the courage to step up against their ranks, these two idiots are already struggling with three princesses, four won’t make things easier.

The girls find it impressive by how much she changes in choreography, as she cooks up something beautiful for their next concert. The girls praise her and wonder why she doesn’t have this kind of self confidence when out in public, she carries herself with so much dignified steps, her shyness shouldn’t hold her back. Lunelle tells them how sorry she is, maybe she was a bad addition to Lolirock after all, she can’t help but feel like everytime she’ll insert herself, something terrible will happen, and she’s better off not to cause any problems. Auriana tells her that if she hadn’t stepped up against the ballet monster from last episode, they’d all be minced. Talia tells her that courage takes time to build, but she’s worthy of being called a princess. Cute friendship moment between them, but Lunelle still feels…wrong, her smile a little weak.

Late at night, Lunelle can’t find sleep, she goes to the dance studio to cope and practice her steps until she’s sweating and can hardly think. She’s proud while drying her sweat from her face looking into the mirror, but she suddenly feels hallucinating as her reflection looks wrong, praxina and Mephisto appear to taunt her, Gramorr is seen trough the mirror’s reflection, immediately panicking Lunelle, they making fun of her, Gramorr recalling how he barely thought of her existence, as she was as fragile as the collateral he had left behind on her kingdom, showing her trough the mirror her burning palace. She breaks down crying begging them to stop and Praxina stick a comb on to her hair, telling her that from now on, those pathetic princesses won’t force her to fight again, as Gramorr laughs fade, the image of the burning kingdom slowly morph into something, we don’t know what it is yet but it looks large and menacing.

Then the girls wake up, wondering where Lunelle went and Auriana laughs saying she probably ran off to dance at the studio, they still worry and hope she hasn’t met any problem on the way. But no time to worry. Iris feels like something is wrong, Monster alert, people are running in the streets terrified, maybe a giant hungry smoothie monster runs after Nathaniel, or a giant phone takes a picture of Doug(that’s the name of the annoying blonde reporter guy right?), trapping him inside, it can lead to some jokes but obviously the princesses are worried and know the twins are behind this. Talia is annoyed that Lunelle is still out of sight. They run and find the monsters with the twins that have Lunelle next to them. It’s some dark crystal monster, a horse, because "night-mare", (get it? I can be funny, I swear.) but it’s shape shifting, maybe some dark counterpart to Amaru. The princesses think that they took Lunelle hostage, Amaru opens the crystal arena and transformations are up, the combat starts but Lunelle refuses to answer to the princesses, asking why she won’t transform. The night mare focuses on each of the princesses trough the fight, becoming their deepest nightmares, iris chased by giant bats, Talia by her sister and Auriana by….a giant hair dryer. Or something. It destabilises them and they get injured, but Lunelle still won’t buldge or help them, the girls wondering what’s gotten into her. Lunelle screams at them to leave her alone, she doesn’t want to fight. Praxina tells her that the princesses will never leave her alone, they’ll always push her to fight, the princesses are putting pressure on her but they’re all mocking her cowardice and real nature. if she wants to be left alone, she can always destroy them. Lunelle agrees and transforms, black magic emanating from the comb behind her. Bam evil transformation where’s she’s a darker blacker shade of her colour palette. The princesses have a hard time fighting her for the same reason that she’s too precisely, her movements are too flexible and perfect, to read into her would need perfect concentration and precision that they don’t have. And they have to fight the night mare who seems to be fuelled by her fear. And they ofc notice the dark comb. They realise that her fighting steps are dance steps, especially the ones she showed this morning, and they use dance to keep up with her but they improvise their own steps, which angers Lunelle because they’re not dancing properly. The girls tell her to loosen up and to dance freely which destabilises her and reduces her fear from the night mare, it’s form growing weaker. They take advantage of it to snatch her hair comb away. She’s back to normal but she’s still afraid of the nightmare, the princesses tell her to start dancing off her traced step, to loosen up, to be brave. Lunelle dances, finally creating her own steps, the nightmare becoming smaller and smaller until it’s defeated. They use their large spell and the twins are blown away. Lunelle apologises saying how she wasn’t brave enough again but the girls thank her for saving them, for how brave she was. We get more cute friendship moments, and a new concert. Back at the smoothie bar, she says thank you and is a little more brave, she’s still shy but she’s way more forward which impresses the girls and Nathaniel’s glad she’s less shy. Happy ending montage.

The main trio mostly treat her like a little sister but shipping her with any girl is valid, she’s a lesbian in my book.
