WHY’D YOU ONLY CALL ME WHEN YOU’RE HIGH? - muse a and muse b have had a bit of back and forth for a while now. they’re flirty, everyone can see it and everyone’s routing for them. muse a is a drug user however and for that reason muse b keeps brushing them off because they don’t like it. muse a always has muse b on the mind but unfortunately isn’t the best at expressing their emotions. this results in them only ringing muse b when under the influence, trying over and over to get out what they mean but failing every time. will muse a ever be able to find the words whilst sober?

Staring at the different bottles in the cooler, Xaire shot a look at the young woman beside him as she nudged him, subconsciously licking over his lips as he did. “Chill out…and even if you do got other shit to do, Ion care,” he grumbled, being a man of his word. Already irritated from earlier events, he simply decided on a Coke, grabbing the bottle and leading the way for the two up towards the register. Grabbing a couple packages of candy, he placed everything on the counter, digging his wallet out while the cashier rang the items up.

lo’s face scrunched into one of irritability, her brows furrowed while the male snapped at her. “oh, you don’t?” she retorted, balling her fist up to strike him sharply in his upper arm. “you better let that fuckin’ attitude go.” moving away from him, she clutched the juice bottle in one hand and grabbed a pack of m&m’s with the other, following him up towards the cash register and setting her items down before reaching into her back pocket for a roll of cash. “i’ll pay for my shit.” she mumbled, not acknowledging him much as she counted the bills mentally.

he watches her work, watches as beads of perspiration run along her temples– a definite sign of dedicated labor. this is what gianni likes to see: initiative, an individual’s zeal to get the job done. this isn’t the first time he wants to hire someone for his cause, but it is the first time he’s been impressed. “nah, it’s all good.” he respects it– her line of work and the secrecy she maintained despite the prestige she brought along with it. “my name is gianni knight. I’m pretty sure you know who my family is… New York City legends. not me, but the rest of the Knights. I just so happen to be on my way there. we run an under-the-table project based solely on narcotic production. I’ve seen a lot of cooks in my day but your product is… impressive. I wanna talk business.”

she exhales quietly, grabbing the ends of her matted curls and tying them up into a less than formal bun. his facial features were unknown to her, yet the name of the male slowly seemed to click the further he explained his business and why he was there. she was with two other cooks, significantly spaced out to work, and their conversation was far from audible as her eyes were set on their diligence and care with the product in front of them, causing her eyes to glance at the white powder that laid between them. “yeah, i heard of you. not much, but i think the big ones did a few deals with you.” lourdes was able to recall the event partially -- she had stayed up for a large portion of that night making sure her work and everyone else’s was up to par. much like the rest of the kitchen, her status among the slums remained disclosed, she was practically invisible to actual business aspect. which is what caused her to draw her brows in confusion, skeptical of gianni’s actual intentions for her. “business..? like selling to you? because i don’t think i’m the person you should speak to for that.”
