Gaston couldnât help the smile spread across his face. So she was blackmailing information out of him for sex? Well he couldnât turn down her offer anyway, he was far to riled up to end this here.
âFine, fine, you winâ he raised his hands up in mock surrender before starting his tale âThere was this castle near the town where I lived. For a long time there were all sorts of stories about some terrifying beast that use to be some fancy prince and got cursedâ his smile slowly began to fade a anger bubbled up to the surface âturns out it wasnât just an old wives tale, he took something that was mine and so I fought him to get it backâÂ
He paused for a moment, dark memories coming to the surface. That bastard, taking what was his, painting HIM as the villain Oh how Gaston wished he could of killed the beast that day. âAnyway, he pulled a dirty trick and ended up killing meâ he shrugged âwellâŚdoing something that should of killed meâ
Gaston looked back over to her, his smile slowly coming back as he leaned back over the table towards her âNow, you know my beast so letâs fix that sleeping problem of yoursâŚâ he looked down at her lips and licked his own.
"Wait, a prince that was cursed? A real beast? Huh, you win. That'd made a much better scary story that mine would." She wasn't sure what was worse, knowing and coming face to face with a beast, or being one and not knowing about it when they start to show their face.
Vanessa watched his eyes darken as he drifted to somewhere else for a moment. "Should have killed you?" The familiar pang of sympathy swept through her. That she knew something about. It wasn't too often someone lived through being hanged. It wasn't something she'd disclose to him just yet. "I'm sorry that happened." She said, her fingers picking at the ever growing hole that exposed her leg beneath the denim of her jeans.
She liked him being close, it wasn't the kind that tore her stomach apart with a feeling she'd come to hate like it was with Nuka. The man was exactly the kind she'd usually looked for since she'd been moved to America. He ticked all of her boxes. Even in this state, she could feel the fine hair on the back of her neck stand on end, the thought of him taking her sending that welcoming rush through her.
Biting her lip, Vanessa stood, pushing her chair backwards slightly before she stepped around the table to stand directly in front of him. "Alright Gaston, fix it."
