Her days were divided into fielding questions from nosy parties regarding the incident, attending meetings for the College and High School and sighing internally over all the unnecessary talk, and most importantly, reaching out to various members of her House, to make sure they were coping with the situation as best as they could. March had always liked to keep busy, but still, the events of the past few days had taken its toll. Which is why she found herself strolling into one of her favorite parks in Asphodel, rich with verdant greenery, the boughs of the tall trees rustling overhead, as if in greeting.Â
She settled into one of the wooden benches, letting her senses flow into the earth the moment she sat down, finding solace in the scent of life around her. She was both detached from the world and aware of it all at once.Â
Which is why she sensed her visitor even with her eyes closed, felt them take the empty seat next to her, silent but their mind filled with words that seemed ready to brim over.Â
âBefore you begin, it seems we have an eavesdropper-â Another presence dinged at the edges of her consciousness and she unerringly sought out their hiding place, a smile curving over her lips.Â
âAnd there.â Identifying the perpetrator was easy, the person choosing shrubbery to hide in like a fool. With a flick of her hand, she heard a satisfying yelp as that personâs bottom was made the convenient target of a rather enthusiastic high five from one of the thornier branches. One muttered curse later, she saw their figure dart out of the bushes and run away, and finally the pair of them were alone.Â
