ASMR ODD Info
What is ASMR ODD? The “ODD” portion of ASMR Odd is still images of ASMR (or any video) in which the ASMR artist (or anyone) looks in a way that no one would normally take a picture. These are still intended to be high quality, and the odd qualities are not things such as blurring or some problem with the image itself, but the way the people look in the images.
What ISN’T ASMR ODD? This is NOT making fun of the people, or intending to make them look stupid etc.
It is finding the beauty in the unusual and things commonly not associated with beauty.
How did this come about? When I was younger I had a very high tolerance for what I found attractive in a person. This meant that there were very few people I found attractive. I thought about it and realize this is bad for me and the person involved, if I were ever to be honest with that person I’d have to tell them they’re not attractive to me, plus it meant there aren’t many people that I’d find pleasing to look at.
Realizing beauty is for the most part a creation of the mind; I decided to make myself find almost every quality and trait attractive. It worked, now I can find beauty (I mean legitimate beauty, it’s not something I have to tell myself, I actually find many many people attractive, you know how people say this quality isn’t my personal preference, well I rooted all of that out and changed my way of viewing to accept nearly all traits, naturally.) in almost everyone. As a result I think this went so far that I even find things attractive that nearly everyone finds unattractive.
This doesn’t mean I find everything attractive at first glance, but many traits and qualities I do, even ones deemed unattractive by nearly everyone. It’s not a fetish, I don’t prefer any of these odd traits over the normal things people find attractive.
Also, all posts are not ODD (such as the above from visualsounds1) and not all posts are intended to be. Likewise in the future there should be posts from non asmr artists and videos as well.
