“Actually, our kids surprised us with something really great!”

“They decided that the present they want was no more hungry cats and dogs. So, we bought a lot of cat and dog food and donated it to the shelter we got Leo from.”

“Tony pretends to be all calm and collected, but he had to go out for a minute when he heard it. It was a touching moment for both of us.”

“Always a classic one. Tony’s favourite has the most mellow melody. It is Silent Night and sometimes I hear Tony sing it to our kids to help them fall asleep better. Do you like when mommy sings to you?”

“Okay, little mouse. I remember my mom, so your grandma singing it to me when I was your age. I am glad you like it.”

“That being said... I think it is time for you two to hit the hay. Say goodnight!”

“Happy Holidays! We are spending Christmas pretty calmly. Today we set the Christmas tree and tomorrow we will decorate it. Chris got all excited when he saw the tree, so he is napping now -”

“ - while Steve and Becky are in the kitchen, preparing dough to make cookies to put on the tree and to give to our friends as gifts. It is kinda of a Christmas tradition for us. All set, Daddy?”

“Yup. Becky, are you ready?”

“Woah, you know the rules - fairy wings off, chef’s hat on. And wash your hands first!”

“Okay, see? First, we have to whip sugar and butter to be allll nice and fluffy.”

“Just don’t start cutting cookies and decorating without me and Chris! I am gonna nap next to Chris, setting up the tree was a two-man job and we both got tired.”
