Mathim looks around frantically, looking for anyone else that could possibly be around, but they were alone. Of course, it was dark out and no one was going to be out on the streets at this time of night! He trembled softly before fumbling with his bag, pulling out his notebook and a pen, writing “How can I help you?” before holding it up to him, hoping the human could see it in his current situation and through his light shaking.
He manages to read the writing, he opens out his mouth to speak but a wave passes over him and he passes out again.
Mathim managed a soft squeak again, dropping his notebook and pencil to shake the guy, trying to wake him up. Tears welled up in his eyes; he didn’t want to watch another person die, let alone be the cause again because he couldn’t help. The small half breed child attempted to pick William up so he could at least get him out of the streets, but couldn’t even manage to do that. He didn’t have strength like a full breed demon would have, so he settled with sitting next to William, trying his hardest not to cry and stay calm, making sure he was at least breathing every now and then.
When he finally comes to again, moans a bit at the pain in his head. He sees the boy next to him.
“Sorry about that…” He tries to remember where he was needing to be… and didn’t he have someone he needed to go home to?
Mathim grabbed his notebook and wrote: “It’s okay” before showing it to him, accompanied with poorly drawn little doodles all over the page he had done out of nervousness. He gave the human a worried look.
“I can’t remember where I need to go… I really don’t know.” He slowly sits up.
Mathim flipped the page of his notebook and wrote, “Do you remember who you are? Are you okay? In pain?” before showing him, the same worried look on his face still there.
“My name is William… my head is hurting still, but that’s to be expected… I think I was hit with a lead pipe.”
Mathim nodded at him before cautiously going to his side and looking at his head, seeing dried blood on his head. He wrote: “Do you think you can walk so we can go to a hospital?” before showing it to William.
"I think so, I might be a bit wobbly." With the boy's help, he gets to his feet, trying to steady himself. "Do you happen to know where the hospital is?"
