It’s because they’re naked.

As you take a swig of the potion you detect a hint of acidic taste hidden below the pleasant swirls and aromas of fruity flavors. It’s the last thing you experience before your mind once more drifts off. Lucidity returning in its fullest you blink open your eyes and let out a yawn. It seems you were dreaming about…something? But it’s all fuzzy and you can’t really remember what it was about. Shrugging it off you go about your daily routine, sitting up and stretching your front…paws…sharp nails digging into the sheets and tearing out stuffing on pillows even if you tread as lightly as you can.

You feel taller than normal, nearly twice your default size and the fur around your body has grown longer and more coarse. Your ears swivel around, picking up every small sound in a mile radius and your nose keenly identifies every smell inside and outside of your residence. Though it’s rather dark in the room your eyes see as if there were no darkness at all. your mane has lengthened as well, it’s strands of hair branching out wildly in an untamed mess and the long sharp teeth you now posses gnash together in hunger of fresh raw meat. Your not quite sure why, but there are instincts pulling you, tempting you to leave this cramped space and run wild.

There is also another urge…and urge welling up from deep in your chest that seems impossibly to ignore, so in response you throw your head back and let out an echoing, bone chilling howl that can be heard for miles. You feel stronger, you feel faster, you feel…ALIVE.
