Sonic looked up from the grass he was lying on until now. His stomach rested against the ground, as he lifted his head up, placing his head on his hands. Really, he would appreciate anything on his hands right now. He was bored as hell.

Then again, when wasn’t something happening in the life of a Sonic? There always seemed to be some new threat to take care of, be it Eggman or otherwise. So, she wasn’t exactly surprised that he was expecting something to have happened. Though right now, things seemed pretty calm.

  “She popped up ‘ere with a note,” Shadex told Eternal, not really caring to explain himself - but wanting to at least get rid of the chance of her trying to “rescue” a kid who didn’t need rescuing, or something stupid like that. “Nothin’ else.”

"No idea why she was left here?" Eternal asked. She wanted to ask about the girl's mother, but she wasn't sure if that was the right thing to do in Sophie's presence...

  Shadex reached his hand down, gently touching the girls head. “Sophie. ‘er name is Sophie.” He kept his voice soft, so as not to startle the kid, but also seemed to be hiding an obvious layer of disgust aimed at Eternal.

Just as Shadex had hidden disgust behind a soft voice, Eternal was hiding accusation. She still didn't trust that Shadex was supposed to have Sophie...

“You haven’t slept for days, have you?” “Are you eating properly? You don’t look it.” “Why do you keep stumbling over your words? The doctor groaned. Another one of the blue buffoons friends? “Get out of my building OR ELSE!” …He didn’t know what the “or else” part would be. Hopefully he wouldn’t have to think hard enough to find out. Just to make himself seem a little tougher, he stood on his tiptoes and held out a wrench menacingly.

Eggman was setting up one of his “diabolic speed traps”. A staple of his work! He put a slicer about a foot away from a boost pad, while chuckling to himself. “I’d like to see that blue buffoon dodge this bad boy! Now, when you see him, throw your slicers-” He is cut off by the sound of a warp ring. “What on EARTH-” He steps back as the slicer cowardly runs off. “HEY! GET BACK HERE! YOU CAN’T JUST LEAVE!” He crosses his arms, staring at the person who just showed up like a child would stare at another child who wanted his toy. “…Wait. You aren’t Sonic.” His face shifts to confusion.
