Ask Paper Stars

first of all and most importantly: this blog is not abandoned and it isn’t over! it’s been on indefinite hiatus while i work on other stuff, as well as flesh out some important story stuff. the first of the updates: there were some flash files hosted on the blog before; they’re gone now. in case you never saw them, they were a simple interactive storybook about Paper’s past, and a very short introduction flash that sorta looked like a visual novel. i removed them due to their age and poor quality (they were made in 2017-ish, and were my first real attempts at “games”), and because they’ve both been retconned story-wise. there will be future interactive updates to this blog, but they’ll be way better and way more... y’know, interactive. eventually i’d like to give people the opportunity to play as Paper, and to get to know her world a bit through her eyes via simple games.

the second of the updates: i’ve written out Paper’s entire story. it took me a few months to work it out in a way that could be satisfactorily conveyed through an ask blog (and eventual minigames). at last i know where this blog’s story is going C:

third update: i will no longer be using skyrim backgrounds for the blog. the main reason why is that it’s almost impossible for me to make large-scale edits to those screenshots and have them match the game style, and also that they don’t really fit with my art the way i first hoped they would.i’ll be using show-style backgrounds going forward.

fourth update: the blog’s theme got an overhaul! hopefully it’s a bit better to look at now.
