Oh my... Seems you're on this app too, Lady Truth. How have you and your little cases been, hm?
@a-seductive-story
"Hello there, Miss. Succubus!" Lady Truth waves, hurriedly clearing off a few loose pieces of paper on her desk as she motions the other over to join her. "I've been doing quite well. Much more so with this lovely spring weather we're having! How about yourself?"
It seemed the lady detective was deliberately taking a moment to debate what information on her case load to share. Much more so as she grabbed 2 tea cups and arranged them on her desk.
"You came just in time, you know. I just finished brewing some tea! Would you like some?" She asked, her head tilting a bit to the side as her hands hovered over a medium-sized teapot.
"Oh! I'm getting ahead of myself - you asked about my cases! They have gone fairly well! Lots of excitement and fascinating discoveries as per usual. Although I do wish I could wear my bird costume again. I haven't gotten a case with such a lavish dress code in a good while.."
"Hmmm..."
Succubus pretended to consider the offer as she approached the table where the two teacups sat.
"I suppose I don't have a busy schedule today."
She took a sip from the tea offered. "Mm... Peppermint...?" She remarked more to herself than to the woman she is visiting.
"Well now, if you wish for such a case, I can sure commit acts befitting of our previous case." Her eyes lightly glanced at the paperwork that still lay on the table as the two converesed. "Though, I assume a detective such as yourself already has a lot on their plate, no?"
"Wonderful!" The detective clapped her hands together, pouring a generous amount of tea into each of the cups before sitting herself across from Succubus.
"I just got it from a new little shop that opened up a few days ago. Apparently, they make each blend of tea themselves to order! I thought it would be interesting to try. More so with an aqquantience!" Lady Truth took a moment to sniff the tea for herself, giving a curt nod as though the smell had properly passed inspection.
As she was taking a proper sip, she nearly choked on the water at the notion of the other creating a scenario for another case. "Oh! No, no, no! That won't be necessary at all! I'd much rather attend something like that as a guest than for work matters."
The detective's hand moved slightly from the paper as she spoke on. They seemed to be connected to the same case. Something about a missing broach of some sort. Although Lady Truth soon covered the letters again as she leaned into her hand.
"I have unfortunately been very busy, but we have a new detective with us to help, so some of the workload has been eased. How about you? Have your sales been going well? I could have sworn I saw one of your dresses in a recent catalouge I picked up."

Miss Lady Truth, what was the most difficult case you have handled? I hope you have a good day
"Dear Mysterious Sender,
Difficult? Why that's a good question!Β Many of my cases have moments where I consider them "the most difficult" or larger than what I can comprehend as a lone detective.
Although if I had to pick one, I'd have to say a recent case I had been on. There were stolen items, missing persons, some sort of stolen identity, and much more... It made finding leads very much like finding a needle in a haystack. Especally if the haystack is the entirety of the city, it seemed.
I was able to handle it by slowly finding the common truths each statement had. From there, I could research things properly and track everything down step by step.
Hrmmmm... Now that I write this, perhaps I answered this as more of a "what was the most tedious case" than difficult.
However, in my opinion they go hand in hand.

Hello Dear Lady Truth!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend
My question is, why do you and Inference never take White with you on your cases?
Is it because he's still too weak after the poisoning? Or is he yet too unfamiliar with the detective work and you have to teach him everything?
But I'm sure he's still a great assistance to you.
Have a wonderful rest of your day~
"Dear Mysterious Sender,
Thank you for your weekend well wishes! I was able to see some bird sightings on my way to work. Cardinals, maybe? Whatever they were, they were very cute! I hope you're able to see some cute birds in the upcoming week mystery sender.
The answer to your question is kind of a mixture of a few of your theories! As you are correct in the matter of White needing to be taught a good portion of detective work and also in the matter of his health needing to recover upon his initial arrival.
As for why he often hangs back on certain cases now, the answer is simply that Mr. Infrence feels he needs more training before we put him in a scenario where he could possibly endanger himself. We've been doing this by having him take smaller cases (missing cats, basic inquiries, etc) to build up his skills.
Although, we have talked about giving him some more challanging ones as he's shown great promise so far!
I have high hopes for him, so let's all cheer him on, okay?

Hey detective girl , did you ever remember your parents or your life before the orphanage ?
"Not really.. I was very young, so memories of my parents feel very faint when I try to remember them. I remember the memories being warm, though." She took a moment to ponder, seemingly trying to think of a few examples before simply shaking her head and continuing on. "Like the feeling you get when you get a warm meal made with love at the end of a long day." "I know my connections at the orphanage are much more recent - and easier for me to remember in comparison. I try to keep in contact with the others, writing letters when I can and answering their letters."
She looked at a small stack of said letters she'd prepared to send. However, the weather had other plans as it had gotten her positively drenched on her way back from her lunch. Not the ideal letter sending conditions if you asked her.
"Much like when I answer yours now that I think about it! Although its a tad bit easier to send you replies my mysterious friend."
"As for the photo itself, I do have a copy still. It's on my desk next to a few other trinkets I've collected over the years. I don't think. I could throw something like that out even if I wanted to!"
" Wow , miss Truth, your left eye look strange. It's had yellow rim "
"My eye? I don't think it looks that odd." She tilted her head, playfully pulling at the bottom of her eye. A small "Bleh" noise escaping her mouth as she did so.
"How about your eye? Let me look at it for comparison."
Lady Truth was now reaching for your face, dear anon, you'd better hope she isn't faster than you. Or that you have more normal eyes in comparison underneath those sick shades.
Dear detective, I know you have some pets . Are you guys gonna eat those pigeons when they're fat enough :) ?
The detective was, ironically, petting one of the three birds by the windowsill at the moment, reading over the letter as she and the animals bathed in the afternoon sun.
"Oh no! I could never!" Lady Truth exclaimed, startling one of the poor birds from their nap. The chaotic sound of a startled bird flying away suddenly filled the room for a moment as feathers rained down from the air. It seemed the feathered friend had found a safer spot to rest above the coat closet.
"Now that I think about it, maybe the taste would grow on me..." She huffed, blowing a stray freather from her face.
Any cool case or mission yet, Lady Truth?
"Dear Mysterious Sender,
I've been on quite a few! I'm sure you've heard of some, as Mr. Infrence told me my escapades of my tunnel investigation reached a few newspapers! How exciting!
I've also been on a few smaller ones as well. For instance, I just came back from one that involved finding a missing amulet a noblewoman had lost. Thankfully, it had simply been misplaced somewhere, and there wasn't any foul play about.
I hope those are both fairly exciting for you my mysterious friend!
-Lady Truth"
Hello again, Miss Truth,
I must agree, the flowers of spring are one of the most beautiful things. I found myself walking through the lilac trees early this morning, shortly before receiving your letter. Being outside is so lovely, isn't it?
As much as I would enjoy meeting face-to-face, I must decline, at least for now. My line of work often places me in danger, and direct association with your agency may compromise more than just my investigations. The reprecussions for being discovered would be rather dire.
That said, I've noticed strange occurrences recently. They appeared to be unrelated incidents at first glance. But I found something at the site of one of these "incidents" that says otherwiseβ¦
In particular, I found it last night, at a local shop. A theft, though the owner was far more distressed over the loss of a specific book than the money. He wouldnβt say why. I recovered a note there, with a message I could barely understand. I thought you might be interested. I have heard rumors of similar scenes and notesβ¦ but this is the only note I've ever found.
My apologies for the long message, and for looping you into my own investigations, but I may need the assistance of another detective. If this seems beneath your concern, I understand completely. But, if I have piqued your interest⦠I may be able to share the note with you.
Yours, Miss Owen
"Dear Miss Owen,
Being able to go outside again is lovely! Visiting lilacs are an especially nice choice. Iβd imagine taking in their beauty and smell in the morning makes for a soothing experience. It reminds me of when Iβd visit a local rose garden and have picnics between my shifts. Perhaps Iβm due to mix things up.
I do understand the importance of upholding safety and appearances when investigating. Please let me know if any further steps are ever needed on my end to encrypt our discussions from possible prying eyes - I like to think Iβm quite clever with pen names, you know.
These incidents do sound quite puzzling- perhaps the notes could be calling cards? But that doesnβt fully describe the importance of the book and its possible connection, does it?
I must admit you have peaked my interest. Iβd be more than happy to lend myself and our agencyβs recourses to lend assistance.

* kicks the door * TRUTH, TIME TO LIVE
"Be careful!" Lady Truth jumped up from her desk, frantically waving her hands, trying to make sure nothing had fallen from the sudden movement of the door. "We just fixed the hinges on that door! Ah! Not to mention it's Mahogany!"
So have you like ever go back to your old orphanage for a visit , miss detective?
And how was your childhood like back then?
"I have a few times, briefly. It was more or less me hoping that I'd somehow see Anna visiting to reflect just as I was. Or perhaps had left the headmistress some sort of letter for me to retrieve. Unfortunately, no such thing has been the case.
However, I also like to visit to check in and see what has changed. I feel like that is common for people to do sometimes, though, when nostalgia floats around in their heads. I try to donate what I can so that they can have a more comfortable time there in comparison to Infrence and me.
I remember my childhood fairly fondly, though. I personally wouldn't say I was bullied - just left to myself or avoided. I understand a good portion of it was due to me being too upfront with my observations most of the time. Children can be quite blunt - myself included. Regardless, my friendship with Anna was something I held dear. In a way, she's one of the main reasons I started becoming a detective.
And I'm glad I did! I quite like all of the people I have met here.
-Lady Truth"
Lady Truth, what do you want to do when you're retired ?
"Dear Mysterious Sender,
I think when I retire, I'd like to be a florist! It could allow me to indulge in my love of gardening while still being able to help others every day. It would also keep me busy, so I wouldn't get too stir crazy. If I had my own shop as well, I could decorate it with all sorts of cute things! Maybe even get myself a cat that could wander the store.
However, those are simply loose plans. I'm far too young to retire quite yet!
-Lady Truth"
Hi Lady Truth, I noticed that White didn't have any other clothes. You should take him to go shopping sometime.
Truth was sorting through various clothing catalogs, debating the various styles as she compared them against each other. Originally, she was only going to get herself a new summer dress after it had unfortunately gotten far too small for her. Now, though, she was annotating various styles in the men's sections, noting to show them to White later in order to seek his opinions on them.
"Dear Mysterious Sender,
I quite agree! I've been able to convince Infrence to share some of his old clothing with him for the time being, but seeing as White is a bit more of a permanent resident, I think proper clothing of his own would be quite nice.
I think something with a blue trim would be really nice on him, but it also seems he prefers whites as well. I'm not sure how easy that will be to find... I'm also uncertain if he prefers more masculine or feminine attire (or a mixture of both) when it comes to clothes.
My plan so far is to show him some of the clothing catalogs I have, and if there's nothing he likes in there, we can have a shopping trip this coming weekend!
Do be sure to tell me if theres any stores I should look out for!

Hey Lady Truth, while ago when you still work as Count DM assistant for Manor party. How much did he paid you?
Lady Truth blinked as she read over the letter's contents for a moment. It filled her with a wave of nostalgia in a way - at least that was partially the only word she could properly pin to the feeling. Either way, it was an interesting question- one she hadn't really gave herself time to think much into.
"Dear Mysterious Sender,
Ah yes! I do remember that! That feels like it shouldn't be as long ago as it was. But I checked the calander and it seems like it was! How time flies.
In my humble opinion, it was far too much for me to feel comfortable with for a simple party assistant role. It felt like it was supposed to be something to blind my eyes from seeing underlying truths that might emerge. A careful misdirection of sorts. Although that might be from my own knowledge on the family itself from my investigations with the agency.
Regardless, I believe it was a good $100,000 if I'm recalling the numbers correctly. I apologize, sender, but I filed the check away a while after the case.
-Lady Truth"
Hello there, Miss Truth!
How are you doing on this May day? I hope all is well.
I have an inquiry to pose to the detective agency, if you are taking questions... though, I must say, this matter is rather pressing. Please respond at your earliest convenience.
Wishing you a wonderful day,
Miss Owen
"Dear Miss Owen,
I am doing quite well this May Day. I was able to take an opportunity to take a walk around the park while on my break. The flowers are quite lovely this time of year. I'd highly recommend seeing them.
We would be more than happy to hear your inquiry. Would you prefer our correspondence to continue over letters or an in-person meeting? We should have open spots for meetings all throughout the week if you are unsure of an exact time you wish to pop in.
Thank you for reaching out!
-Lady Truth"
