"One Dynamite Guy!"

It had been a while since he’d been in these halls, and although Passover wasn’t over, he couldn’t help but want to spend some of it back with his old pals. Something about the spring air felt nostalgic,taking a deep breath as he strolled along the winding hall. 

Although some time away definitely did leave him Auradon-sick, Ferris felt better than he had before, almost as if coming back to Litwak’s reset him just right. He felt energized anew, ready to get back to his old antics, and maybe even meet the new students who had enrolled in his absence. Nothing says Springtime like a fresh start, and the smell of familiar cherry blossoms blooming in the morning.

Roaming around for a few moments, he found himself in forgotten territory, trying to re-familiarize himself with the hallway he was in. A month away definitely had its little drawbacks now didn’t it?

He babbled on before silently cursing himself for not introducing himself to the kind student sooner,”I’m Ferris Calhoun-Fixowitz, What’s your name?”

Velocity had been wandering around the halls, in search of a friend or two to bother for awhile.

They hadn’t gone home over the break, opting to stay in Auradon and try studying for once. Now that everyone was back, they were determined to do something fun.

That was when they spotted Ferris and a big goofy grin spread across their face. “Ferri!” They shouted, running towards him.

“Velocity Von Schweetz-Fluggerbutter you get your tush over here!” He mused, hands on his hips with an amused expression plastered on his face. He opened his arms to catch them in a hug, laughing in utter bliss.

“Your mom absolutely roasted you like a marshmallow over a campfire for not coming back with me.” he added, patting firmly at their back before parting the embrace. “We definitely need to catch up a bit.”

“I’ve been waiting for you, dummy!” She proceeded to poke at him, still pressing for fun video game stories. Although she though of herself as an incredibly interesting person, Peggy didn’t like talking about her boring life when someone out there was having a more interesting one. His question did distract her enough for her mind to switch gears for a moment, “They got a new ice cream machine in the cafeteria!” She started pulling him there, but of course barely any movement happened with Peggy’s limited strength

“Did you shoot anyone? Did you fix any buildings? If you hit a sick person with your hammer, would they get worse or better? Are the Nicelanders that nice? If you crash a car, does the car respawn like you do?”

He beamed at the concept, glad to have something near that could remind him of Sugar Rush,”Oh seriously? That reminds me, you won’t believe what happened where Velocity’s mom is from, they had a sticky situation but I totally ended up fixing some things! That and Litwak plugged in more games since I came around? Which was crazy!” He trailed on, trying to recall all the details and events of his little homecoming.

“Did shoot some cybugs, didn’t fix buildings but made some new ones, they get better, and they can be mean sometimes depending on the Nicelander, and it depends on where that car belongs.Any more questions?” Ferris answered one after the other in a heartbeat, listing them off as he scratched the back of his head.

“That’s not Sonic-”

From all the way down the hall, a high pitched squealing could be heard fastly approaching as Peggy bounded up to Ferris. She wrapped him up into a big bear hug; or at least, as much of a bear hug as her tiny body could manage. She tried shaking him as well, but of course it was like trying to move a boulder. Still, her excitement was clear.

“Feerrrrrris!!! Tell me everything about the arcade, stat!” She demanded, letting him go but still jumping up and down. It didn’t occur to her that Ferri’s energy wasn’t matching hers, but maybe he’d smile if she smiled even harder.

Perking up at the sound, Ferris lifted his head with a grin plastered on his face. He chuckled and lightly shook her in response, holding onto her with a matched enthusiasm and a curiosity to catch up.

“Pegs! Oh you have no idea, the stories I’ve got for you! We definitely need to chat about it.” He sing-songed, patting at her back gently before letting her loose. He seemed to be in a better state than when he had left Auradon Prep for the break,”How’ve you been, huh?”

Ingrid eyed the boy coming down the hallway at her. He was new, at least to her, but he didn’t seem like much of a royal, which was a fresh change. A bit cheerful and bright like a Christmas carol, but she could make it work if he ended up being useful. Since coming to Auradon, her guards hadn’t gone down like some VKs who’d been here longer. She still kept her eye out for anyone about to attack her, not even realizing it wasn’t necessary anymore. Perhaps that’s why she was so uncomfortable around royals, since they had the most reason to have it out for her. As of the moment, she was just trying to make some connections that would be useful.

“Hey! Are you new here?” Ingrid stopped by what she assumed was the boy’s locker to grab his attention

Perking up he gazed to her, tilting his head at the unfamiliar face,”Oh nah, I did just come back from home though! Are you new though?” He asked with a content and curious expression. It had been a while since he had met anyone new anyhow.

It almost felt odd and foreign: in the arcade new plugins came once in a while and you couldn’t last a day without hearing all about it, but here? New faces turned up everyday without alarm! It almost felt more special that way.
