The Pen is Mightier Than the Sword

Josh smirked and pulled her back across the bar and kissed her, he broke the kiss with a smile. “Now that was a proper welcome.” Dean laughed heartily. “Get a room you two.”

Mira smiled very sweetly at Dean. “We are in a room. Of course, if you’re uncomfortable, I can always find you another.” Levy giggled at Mira’s tone, knowing what was boiling just under the surface.

Levy pursed her lips, still trying to work out all the details of the situation, trying to suss out a possible solution. “But...” she attempted to argue, but one look at Dean’s face told her she would be stonewalled if she tried to continue the conversation. “Alright. But maybe after we should bring it up to the Master. He might have some ideas.”

“Hehe, well then I promise not to break anything.” With one more stroke of her light pen, Levy finished off the list and placed it next to the items they laid out. “Alright! Ready to head out?”

“That is much appreciated!” Lucy giggled. When Levy had finished Lucy looked up excitement in her eyes. “Totally, Let’s get going!”

Levy giggled along with her friend, and linked her arm around Lucy’s. “Aw, you don’t mind the house crashers as much as you claim.” she teased.

“Sure!” was her enthusiastic reply. “So what have you guys been up to? Anything noteworthy happen when we were gone?” 

“Well let’s see, um I kind of killed Death and unleashed The Darkness.” Dean said. “The Darkness is God’s seriously pissed off older sister….and I’ve been getting visions of The Cage….and Lucifer.” Dean looked at him. “Dammit Sam we are not bringing this up again.” Joshua leaned over to Levy. “Sam thinks these visions are God telling him that we need Lucifer to beat The Darkness.” He whispered.

She couldn’t even try to contain the exasperated sigh that escaped. “Never a dull moment for you guys, huh?” With a shake of her head, Levy offered them a wry smile. “Couldn’t you guys take a normal job, like escorting rich people? You know, things that don’t involve angering or killing higher beings?” She watched the two brothers and could tell this argument had been simmering for a while. “Why do you think you need him, Sam? Can’t you just reuse the spell to trap Darkness again?” 

“Oh I know!” Levy smiled brightly. “And thanks. I just figured you have enough guests showing up uninvited so often that you’d might want a little break.” she teased.

“Well, having a guest over doesn’t destroy everything wouldn’t bother me one bit Levy!”

“Hehe, well then I promise not to break anything.” With one more stroke of her light pen, Levy finished off the list and placed it next to the items they laid out. “Alright! Ready to head out?”

“Sure!” was her enthusiastic reply. “So what have you guys been up to? Anything noteworthy happen when we were gone?” 

Dean picked her up and spun her like a kid. “Where the hell have you been?” He asked setting her down.

Levy rolled her eyes and stifled a giggle, letting Dean have his fun. “Guildarts needed a script mage for an S-class mission. It was logged as a fifty year mission, but between us, and later Cana, we were able to get it done in just over a year.” She explained, her gaze flitting between the three boys.

She lined up the items by size, making sure to catalogue everything as the client wanted. Thank Mavis they didn’t have to put everything away too. “Ah that could work. It’s a good thing you have your own apartment, Lu.”

Lucy smiled watching Levy take care of cataloging. A smile on her lips she looked up as the girl spoke. “Yeah, and you know of course you’re welcome over anytime!” she exclaimed to her friend.

“Oh I know!” Levy smiled brightly. “And thanks. I just figured you have enough guests showing up uninvited so often that you’d might want a little break.” she teased.

“I’m good, Lu.” Levy assured her friend. “Promise!” Stretching her neck for a moment, she went to unpack the box and lay the items on the table. “Yeah, you’re probably right.” she admitted with a sigh. It wasn’t like they were asking for much, but knowing her guild members it was like asking for the moon. 

“Alright.” She felt better when Levy reassured her with a smile. She laced her boxes down on the table and watched as Levy unpacked. “Well, we can always use my bath. I’m sure we can fit, I mean Cana and I did.”
