Nine years after making her and I finally got around to making a relationship chart for my TF2 OC Messenger.
The arrows denote how the character they’re going from sees/feels about the character they’re going toward. Three sets are mutual, and Engie and Medic’s arrows are a summation of their impact on Mess’ life.

Haven't been on here in For Ever but something funny I've noticed in the last few years is how Messenger's backstory and personality and everything has actually started meshing much cleaner with Tf2 the Angrier Of A Person I Become. I've learned how to divvy aspects of myself up for self inserts better and Messenger has increasingly become an outlet for cornered dog aggression I've repressed my entire life. This has made her interactions with the mercs way more organic despite them not being the target of her unofficial license to kill. She's become a foil to pauling even more it's just really interesting stuff.
Too bad the likelihood of me ever doing a comic or writing my thoughts down is. Small.

Not a fun retcon but relatively Major is that Messenger was actually committed to a psychiatric hospital at 9 instead of 14. Thinking about my own childhood, that’s unfortunately around the age it would have happened if I were born in 1940.
