*A few of his feathers catch the light and look iridescent as they get closer to the water*

*Orion nods, a few more of his feathers starting to shift colours in the light, turning from black to navy blues and purples*

*Micte takes off her shoes and goes straight into the water, staying close enough to shore to easily touch the bottom.*

*He follows her with exactly zero hesitation, and as soon as his wings touch the water, each individual feather turns into a rainbow*

*Orions eyes dilate like a cat, and he ducks underwater to try and spot more fish*

*He has another fish in his hands when he surfaces*

*His dark hair looks different under the water, the frizzy not-quite-straight-but-not-quite-anything-else mess turns into curls, bands of rainbow light shining on it, the same as his wings had*

*Micte dives under the water with him and waves, blowing bubbles*

*He squints at her, trying and failing to blow bubbles back to her*

*She smiles and blows a bubble that somehow looks like a fish*

*His eyes widen, and he tries to catch the bubble*

*She goes up for air*

*He tilts his head, also surfacing*
