Ask Sea Swirl

Speaking of, I'm not dead. But I'm even more happy to say that I finally got one of these after waiting YEARS for one!

A sketch of Sea Swirl drawn by Jenn Blake, one of the IDW My Little Pony comic artists, during SeaBronies Expedition 2! She drew it in a flash; I wish I had it in me to draw that fast! o.O That’s two comic artist drawings of Sea Swirl down, and many to go!

Whimsy (MOD): I wasted most of an update trying to learn how to use Corel Painter. Looks like I’m sticking with GIMP for the time being! With my update time wasted, I decided to break out the markers since I hadn’t used them in a while. Good thing, too, because I’d forgotten some of the shading techniques, as evidenced here. Also tried some subtle style changes, just for fun.

Whimsy (MOD): My sister’s just begun experimenting with watercolors, and made me this awesome pic of Sea Swirl swimming through the sea! Yay~!

Sea Swirl: “I’m not into seafood anyways...”

Sea Swirl: “Still, I get questions from ponies that I’m certain are imaginary all the time, so I guess I’m not one to talk!”

Whimsy (MOD): I haven’t posted in a while, so here’s quick post-it scribble I did just to let everyone know I’m not dead and haven’t abandoned the blog or anything. After a move, things got more hectic than expected, resulting in moving again and some elongated job hunts, but things have finally settled down for me. I’m working on a few updates so I can get them posted in quick succession of one another to get the story for Sea Swirl back on track. Look forward to some fresh activity soon!
