(( I think this is a meta question that I should answer rather than Robin Hood because I have my own opinions about it and I don’t want to solidify anything as fact when it’s largely interpretable—

It really depends on how you view the power of the wildcard how the shadows function. While it it explicitly mentioned that a wildcard acquires MULTIPLE SHADOWS to use, we only ever see wildcard’s SHADOW SELF in a singular form with the exception of Yuu Narukami’s tv pile shadow appearance, which I’d take with a grain of salt, because that’s anime meta.

It is my own opinion that if you are a wildcard, it would make sense for your other shadows to be able to manifest independently and in your image, but your truest, rawest form is your initial persona. So that’s how I’m gonna treat it.

It can be ascertained, that whatever I believe of Akechi, he believes of himself. At least mostly.
