Typical Obito hate in my inbox. If you're not a fan and can't separate an rp blog made for fun from a canon discourse blog, this isn't the place for you. You don't have to take it out on me I'm not actually Obito (the girlies would be swarming if I was.) On the other hand I adore Obito as a character and can distinguish fiction from the real world at the end of the day. I understand it's hard to look past all the evil deeds Obito has been complicit--more than complicit--in, but you all have got to realize these are 2D drawings. If you're not having fun and just spending 24/7 on your hate blog, maybe try another fandom and come back to this one? Or take deep breaths and ask yourself why the intense scrutiny. As much as the Naruto verse is based in and steeped in real world events fandom should be a fun place. My blog is mostly a parody of Tobi/Obi, and it's been fun for me to engage with everyone ♡ and dissect Obito like a bug, his past and why he failed so hard to live up to his potential, his relationship with Madara, etc. I don't want to see him as black and white because there is so much to psychoanalyze. Maybe not label 2D drawings with such a strict moral code. You don't have to forgive, get past, move through, or anything remotely come close to accepting Obito as having a valid reason to "live" because he's not living. He's just a fictional dude. Just let those who are in fandom to be nerds, be nerds! Let us Obito lovers be nerdy psychoanalysts for this funky dude it's for fun my fam. Don't pin anyone who enjoys a character as having morally grey areas WE ALL HAVE FAILED OURSELVES IN THIS THING CALLED LIFE NONE OF US ARE BETTER THAN THE OTHER FOR LIKING SUCH AND SUCH CHARACTER. Please, stop with the extreme judgey finger pointing and making fandom a war zone. There is enough of it in the real world.
Also accept that not everyone in fandom will agree with you. It's ok to disagree. It's part of evolving into a grown adult when you realize differing opinions on fictional dudes are valid on both sides, and there's no need to HATE A STRANGER for not bowing down to your view on things. Trust me I have been ragey on Itachi haters (on my own blog I've never sent hate of any kind). But now I just don't let it get to me. I'd rather have fun than be bitter. If a stranger wants to spend their life writing Itachi hate blogs and being nasty go for it. There are some Obito haters who are less aggressive and find more mature creative outlets with art and I love that.
