Clu chuckled softly, his haunting blue eyes gleamed with a hint of mischief. "Mad? No, I am not mad. I simply took matters into my own hands when my creator failed to maintain the perfection that he had promised. As for daddy issues, I assure you I have none. But if you must know, Flynn was much more than a mere 'creator' to me. He was my mentor, my friend, and ultimately my greatest burden." He paused for a moment, his expression becoming almost wistful.

Clu's eyes narrowed slightly as he regarded you. "He served his purpose." His voice low and measured.

"Tron's demise was a necessary step in achieving my goals for the Grid. As for his current status, rest assured, he is no longer a threat."

"Tron?"

"Forgive me your excellency, but do you believe it wise to risk potentially loosing our most valuable asset [Rinzler] in an exercise only intended to pacify the masses?"

"The security and pacification of the masses is of utmost importance. Rinzler may be a valuable asset..."

"...but he is expendable if it means maintaining order and control. If there is even a remote possibility that this exercise will aid in that goal, then it must be carried out. Is that clear?"

[ Thank you very much! I'm really happy for all the nice response and tags from everyone! I have been in a drawing burnout and hadn't picked up a pencil for 6 months. My last colored piece was 3 years ago. I only managed to draw sketches and doodles and it sucked being in a state like this.

But Tron brought me back into drawing and I'm slowly recovering from the artblock. Getting nice feedback helps additionally, so I'm very grateful for every kind word.
