Like a light feather, Broken was wished off with Corrupt to see more of the new world around him.

His body was directed but Corrupt, moved to a more secluded area. It seemed sectioned off and locked by security whom surprisingly let the both of them by without any further a look. Left to themselves and away from the inhabitants of the flooded Casino, they both were now in the lounge area greeted by lovely food and drink, some of which was also entirely new. That is given the nearly everything he had seen so far was far too new. His eye remained bright, taking in everything around him, until he took up Corrupt on his offer. He plopped his body right next to him, going as far as to scoot closer to him, bodies pressed close together. He merely needed a moment to calm himself.

For third in command, this was far too lavish, far more than the treatment Broken got, and he was supposed to be the devil’s own right hand. The first go before big boss himself, and more and more as he thought this fact over, his situation back at home buried more in his mind. Broken turned, resting his square head on Corrupt, trying to clear his mind. He was here now, it’s better now. Despite how odd and peculiar brightly glowing squares were, as easily as it would be considered outlandish,he tried to bury that notion. Looking back up at Corrupt in his face, he leaned back at bit and tried to center himself before speaking.

“This world is beyond words, I simply could never fathom such things even in my wildest of dreams”. He reached over to drag one of the pieces of food from the table, fiddling with it. “Thank you, thank you so very much. This is such an odd and peculiar place, though I would appreciate it for every second”. It seemed to be a shrimp cocktail, yet Dice could not comprehend how to eat it accurately. He didn’t dip it in the sauce, and seemed trouble on the tail bit, as if he was supposed to eat that as well. With the confusion, he continued. “You’re almost like a Peter pan story, lifting someone up and away from some place terrible to somewhere amazing. Do you love your world”?

Corrupt chuckled. “You take the tail off.” He said taking a shrimp. “And it’s no problem. I get perks for… um reasons. But yeah this world is all I know. I love it here… It’s just who runs this place.. is the only downside…” Corrupt held out his hand. There was a silver ring with a purple diamond. “I am… getting married to my boss. I don’t have a choice…” He said. “Though he doesn’t wear a ring since he bangs whatever pretty thing steps in here.” He sighed. “He’s just marrying me because he can. I can’t say no or… I’ll die.” He said.

Like two friends at a slumber party, Dice happily bumped shoulders against Corrupt.

“I will certainly keep my hopes high for you receiving a cat, besides, for once you should do what pleases you! You deserve a cute kitten”. As if some motivational speaker, Broken talked on about Corrupt thinking for himself and acting as he pleases, only for it to abruptly halt the vibe he gave. Broken almost immediately turned his head south, his hands starting to fiddling idly. His eye darkened in color more intensively, symbolizing his mood yet again. He seemed to hesitate in his words, his body language growing tense. All slowly leading up to his much more quieted voice, describing rather timidly about his boss.

“Terrifying”. He seemed scared, as if remember instance from instance of the things his boss has put him through. “I worry for my life every time he calls me to his Chambers… Calling my name with his.. voice–! Ehh, it feels like icy spiders crawling through every crack through my body.” As if trying to lighten the mood, he tried to put on another weak smile. “He most definitely never grants me such gifts as these extravagant.. uhm.. squares! Hah, my King title is merely for show, and to add sovereignty to his name”. He tried to remain positive, finalizing his words on a more positive note.

“Though, I need him. Surely you remember my uhm, rather shameful break down in reference to Cuphead. Well, my boss protects me, and my few staff from him. We have more of a chance living with him, than trying to survive out there”. With that statement held a very subtle tinge of solidarity, as if it was set it stone. It was part of his life, and that was how it is, and should stay until something better.

Not exactly the best wording, but was genuinely the only choice of wording that could come from Dice was Corrupt explained the images that moved about the lit screens. Despite his urge to throw caution to the wind and jump to the screen to save the mouse, he remained seated. Six years, really? At least they are able to track and keep time in this world. Turning back to his close friend, he now watched him go on about cats, his deep love for them. For a moment, he couldn't actually connect an image of a cat to the word itself.
