Ancalagon regards the elf with half-lidded eyes.  ”Oh, do hush already,” he sighs. “I just ate, you should be glad.  Now be quiet and stop bothering me.  Unless you would like to contribute to my treasure hoard,” —he shifts slightly to reveal that his entire bulk is resting on an enormous pile of gold and jewels— “or my kitchens?”

“Go away,” he whimpers.

“…why should I?” returned the dragon, lazily laying his head back upon his limbs.

Ancalagon regards the elf curiously. "What in Arda is wrong with you?" he asks. "Most of your kind either run or make challenges.  What are you doing?"

Finrod catches Angrod by the shoulders and bends his head to meet his eyes. “It is not real. Do you understand?”

“It’s real!” he screams. “He’s going to burn me! Where is ‘Náro? He already killed him, like that time. I saw it. I saw him burn. Help me!!”
