Oh man could you imagine that? Alyx and Gordon both meeting their end in the citadel explosion.

Alyx, daughter of the rebellion leader Eli Vance, has been an indispensable asset to the rebellion efforts for over five years and Gordon, the almost messianic One Free Man, were probably already assumed to be dead when Nova Prospekt exploded, but by some miracle turned up alive and fine a week later due to some “slow teleport” phenomenon.

The same evening, they’re at the center of the citadel explosion--Eli can confirm there’s no way the two escaped before the dark energy reactor detonated.

They’re not counting on a miracle this time.
